Casita Cobra is a unique place to stay. It is a home with artistic attention to detail and surrounded by beauty set overlooking the Southbroom Admiralty Reserve. The house itself and its location will take your breath away. You have the choice: take advantage of the beautiful unspoilt beaches, Nature Walks, Golf, Tennis, acclaimed restaurants or keep it low key and enjoy the immediate surroundings and casual vibe that this home has to offer.  

The space
Please note: This home is an extension of our private residence, please understand that you will see some of our personal items collected over a lifetime of living and appreciating the ocean, the house will be kept clean and tidy daily by our extended family Eunice & Bishem. I have been hosting for many years and learn new and better ways each time to improve the guest experience! There is WiFi throughout and Netflix offered on the Lounge TV. There are fans in all rooms. The house is secured with an electric fence & automated entrance gate. 
Upon entering the house, you will find yourself in the living room. Within it you will find a generous kitchen, dining, and lounge area with unique furniture pieces and decor. The Living Room looks out onto the North Facing elevated wrap around balcony with elevated views into the Admiralties Indigenous Forest. The tropical courtyard filled with Ginger, Frangipani and palms feeds off the living room, a generous space with large braai area, (separated vegetarian & meat grids) and cosy fireplace. There is ample seating for al fresco dining with a 6 Seater Outdoor Dining Table and casual seating for 7 around the fireplace. The area is well lit and perfect for evening food fiestas, darts and even Ping Pong. There are 3 on suite bedrooms leading off the Living Room each having its own character. Our house will comfortably sleep 3 couples or 2 couples and 4 children sharing a room with bunk beds. They all have generous storage for clothes and keepsakes aswell as a desk area to plug in your laptop or can be used as a dressing table.. Room 1 has a bath and shower and also leads onto a private tropical garden with outdoor shower. It has a King Size antique Indian wooden four poster bed with a Henwood Mattress. This set up lends itself to privacy as the master suite is tucked back away from the other two bedrooms on the one side of the house. You might feel like you are in the tropics for a moment swinging in the hammock surrounded by ginger, bananas, frangipanis and other unusual plants.  Room 2 has a shower in the bathroom and leads onto the wrap around balcony with views into the forest. The balcony has several occasional chairs and tables to enjoy the views with a glass of wine. It has a king size ancient Indian antique bed with Henwood Mattress. Room 3 also has access to the wrap around balcony and Forest views, with a shower. This room contains a queen sized bed which can be substituted for 2x single beds to accommodate children if required. There is a TV/DVD Player in this room with a selection children’s movies.

This is a non-smoking home.

When we are not at the beach or out on a travel adventure you can find us in the garden next door There are several excellent eateries within a 10 minute walk and more down the road. There is an exhaustive list in the house of all the attractions within the area that will provide something for everyone. We have also teamed up with Royden Bryston, (ex Pro-Surfer) whom can offer surf lessons, (private or group) at all the local surf-breaks aswell as tailoring longer stays with an introduction to more of a guided surf tour of all the varied breaks on the lower South Coast.

Our favourite beach is a 15min walk away or quick drive, to Granny’s Pool, built in 1944 you can snorkel for cowries, get some swimming exercise and end the morning collecting some fresh mussels on the rocks, (permitted you have a licence). There is excellent surfing at Southbroom Main Beach, umbrellas and sand toys will be available for your use.
