We absolutely loved our stay at Monica‘s house!  Ironically, it was our favorite place of our 7 week trip to El Salvador, even though our main reason for booking it initially was its relative proximity to the airport.  While we didn’t have any specific reasons for visiting Apastepeque, we had an excellent experience there, thanks primarily to the host’s hospitality. Monica’s mom, who was at the house during our visit, was extremely welcoming and helpful, even telling us about a local sugar festival and rodeo that happened to be going on while we were there. The house was very attractive and comfortably furnished. We loved the colonial architecture and the common area built around a courtyard with a garden. The private rooms were comfortable and spacious. And, the common area was large enough that it even felt like our family had privacy if we wanted it. The hosts were very welcoming and gracious towards our 4 young kids, and the dog was friendly. Would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay in this beautiful home in the beautiful town of Apastepeque in El Salvador. The home was exactly as describe by Monica if not better. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Lots of space with a beautiful garden and patio in the centre of the home. Walking distance to the centre of the town and a quick drive to the Laguna de Apastepeque. Our host was amazing, she even organized a typical Salvadoreño breakfast for us that was cooked inside the home and we had the pleasure to it enjoy sitting beside her beautiful garden and on the patio on the inside of the home.

Excelente lugar, solamente falta el aire acondicionado en las habitaciones, pero a parte de eso es un lugar excelente para visitar. seguramentevolveré.

Highly recommended place! You will feel right at home staying here. They were the most welcoming family and accommodated to exactly what we needed. They even were gracious enough to cook us homemade breakfast for an extra charge, which was perfect. When traveling across El Salvador, add this to one of your stays!
