I stayed long-term for 4 weeks. House is in a safe walkable location. When I arrived, nobody stayed there but the bathtub and shower curtain were dirty and not comfortable to shower in. I cleaned it and bought new curtain. When asked a host why I was charged a cleaning fee, she was not helpful and overall communication made me feel unwelcome. The host does not live in the house. Throughout my stay, I kept the place in great condition and cleaned after short-term guests too. Upon checking-out, I mopped the floors and left everything in better than found state. Sadly 2 weeks later a host sent me $100 reimbursement request because I tried to clean a sticky spot on the dresser in a Room I stayed at, and it accidentially caused a scratch. When moved in, sticky spot was a size of a notepad, and few things of mine stuck to it. So I took an initiative to clean it and communicated it to a host. Her later surprise request was a knife in a heart. That was my worst airbnb experience as a guest.
