Wonderful cabin for a quick weekend getaway

My first impressions of the Kokosing Cabin @ The Mohicans Treehouse Resort were a delight. The smell of the wood upon opening the door was amazing. The design of these cabins is simple: one bathroom on the first level and sleeping rooms above on either side. Internet & Cellular Services are not something available at this location. For some, that will be a benefit and for others, an annoyance. But know full well that the listing is advertised correctly. You will be unplugging. I have stayed in nicer accommodations for the same price point, so I can't give this a perfect score. We were surprised by the number of space heaters that were plugged in upon our arrival. The bathroom wood wall has some holes, which makes for awkward times with people in the living room. Cool place to experience once.

We really enjoyed our time and the atmosphere! For the price and being so close to your neighbors we will likely choose somewhere else next time. It was a nice little get away and no complaints as far as the host or amenities!

Laura is the epitome of a responsive host; what an incredible communicator and demonstrator of customer-care. I can't recommend working with Laura highly enough. We rented three places, and all three were spotless, pristine, private, fully stocked with firewood and serene. The Kokosing and Walhonding were a stone's throw from each other, and the Killbuck was just across the gravel drive. Other cabins are within eyesight, but distant enough to feel private, especially with fully leafed out trees to screen each property. The place is 10 minutes of gravel road travel back to the main route where there is shopping, activities, canoeing, Pizza Hut, McDonalds and anything else you may need. Just keep in mind that these three cabins are well set up for groups, and work extremely well for that. If you're looking for a sprawling master suite and a pure romantic experience, perhaps one of the smaller "treehouse" style cabins is what you're looking for. Thanks Laura!
