My boyfriend and I booked this trip as a fun weekend away from kids, pets, and work. This is hands down the cleanest AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in and Margaret was responsive and welcoming throughout our stay. I can see why this prime location is usually booked during the peak October season but I find Salem to be much more magical in the off season! This location is walkable to all restaurants and shopping and has a private little area that makes it feel tranquil even in the hustle and bustle of the area! The bed was extra comfy and in the morning when I woke up I had a hard time leaving it. Thank you so much to the incredible host and anyone thinking about staying here should just immediately click the book button because you will not be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing! We stayed at Margaret’s place for 3 wonderful nights. The place was immaculate, and the kitchen and bathrooms were updated and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The place is a gem, within walking distance of many of Salem’s top attractions and restaurants. Would be happy to stay again!

This charming place was a really wonderful launching pad to explore Salem. Incredibly walkable, it was so convenient to museums, walking tours, restaurants, and shops. Inside it was charming, well appointed, and quite cozy. Margaret was proactive and left detailed instructions that made every aspect of the stay a breeze. It’s clear they take hosting seriously, and it shows on the quality of all facets of the guest experience.

Enjoyed my mini-retreat at the Dowager Countess! Very clean with many thoughtful touches, from labeled (and dimming) light switches, to a water filter spout in the kitchen. I felt instantly comfortable in the Violet Suite and had a relaxing visit to Salem. I especially enjoyed walking in the quiet winter light, and my visit to the PEM. I hope to come back next year!

Great place right off the Commons. Spacious bedroom and bathroom, perfect place to explore the city from.
