This house brings you closer to the nature: you are feeling like you are at the middle of the forest and there are no one outside; you need to heat the stove with wood every morning and evening, it is calm and peaceful there. We did cross country skii straight from the house. While local roads are cleaned after heavy snow, It is strongly recommended to have 4wd if you come in winter. There are a lot of attractions nearby: mt.Bachelor with mountain ski and cross country ski trails, multiple places for snowshoeing and cross country skiing along 58 highway. I liked electric sauna and the feeling when you go out of it in the evening and you hear crunch of snow underfoot. I definitely recommend this place if you like to get new experience, not like 99% of other listings in Airbnb.

The cozy log cabin was just as described. Beautiful view from the back windows. Everything was clean. The kids really enjoyed the tree house and zip line. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us. One of the upstairs bedrooms is pretty small, but it was fine for us. Do note that the wood stove is the main source of heat for the house, although they have small wall heaters in some rooms. It takes about a day for the wood stove heat to even out throughout the house, which we already expected because my dad had one for years. The hosts were good with communication.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Location is great and is easily accessible to both hikes around crater lake national park as well as hikes around Bend. Rooms are very clean and the indoor fire pit makes lounging inside so cozy after a day of hiking. Would love to stay here again when we come back to the area!

Gorgeous cabin that we enjoyed thoroughly. Has a rustic charm and exactly matches the description. We loved the ambiance and the tree house and zip line were perfect for the kids! Cell service can be spotty, but is strong enough for communication in certain areas of the home (we found the loft had the best service). Anne is a wonderful host and very responsive. Would suggest that folks plan to bring in groceries if they’re looking to cook while there. The one store in town is more of a convenience mart than grocery store. We had run into this in several gateway towns so knew what to expect and stopped at the Safeway in Bend on our way out of town.
