The place was extremely clean and everything was organized. There was a lot of fun amenities and the place was exactly as displayed on the pictures. There was also great communication, the fire pit had not been working and after letting the owner know, he got someone to fix it in 30 minutes. The only reason why I put such a low rating is because it was extremely secluded, the surrounding area is isolated and if you want to go to Chicago city it’s an hour away. They’re plenty of luxury hotels that are just $150 a night and altogether this place was $470 a night because they charge $200 extra dollars per person. Altogether they do fall through with their promises and have plenty of amenities but the amount charged in my personal opinion for such a secluded area is not worth it.
The house seemed fine, maybe smaller than what I expected l. However the situation(completely out of the owners control) was handled very poorly(in the owners control). I was told at noon there was no power and they would monitor the situation. We arrived in town a little after 4 PM. But accommodations for somewhere to stay with power(it was 90+ degrees) weren’t in place until after 8 PM. Leaving us to sit around and wait for hours. We had a group of 8 people and were given two rooms in a cheap hotel each with 2 double beds, in a different town. The second day there was still no power and they were much less responsive. At almost 9 PM they decided to refund us. But finding a hotel for 8 people at 9 pm is ridiculous. So we asked to stay in the air bnb. Which they said meant no refund. So we paid well over ver a thousand dollars to stay at a $100 hotel and a house with no power. Also the owner has a property manager that called and texted instead of using Airbnb as they should.
We had a lovely stay. The house is well stocked with towels and kitchen tools. The house is very close to a nice beach and dune walk. The hot tub and grill worked well. We had good communication with the hosts and they were accommodating. I do wish there was more than one roll of paper towels stocked.
Water heater would shut off after every shower. Had to restart it 20 times atleast.
Nice stay in a clean well maintained place but the basement room was kind of chilly

My husband and I discovered Miller Beach, a lovely, hidden gem in 2003 and fell in love with it immediately. We currently reside in town with our young daughter and Vizsla dog.
