My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay in this very nice appartment. It offered everything one needs for vacation - and more. Sometimes it could be a bit noisy, but hey, this is Philly. The appartment was neat, clean, and cozy. And all this in a safe neighborhood. Rafi's place is perfect for visitors.

This place is lovely and comfortable. The decor is pleasingly not overdone with plenty of working space to spread out and access one's things. The king-size bed is exceptionally comfortable and attractive. We didn't use the kitchen so we can't comment on pots and pans but the apartment appeared to have a full compliment of small appliances. The only caveat we have is that the description does not necessarily go out of the way to mention the two narrow, steep flights of stairs to the apartment. It's nice being on top, however, if you have limitations (and/or heavy luggage) that could be problematic. The host is extremely accessible (even as the apartment is less so) and accommodated as best they could requests for early check in, which, in this heat was much appreciated. Which reminds me to mention, the A/C was outstanding!

While the apartment and location are overall great, the kitchen is problematic. If you don't plan on doing much more than making tea or boiling an egg, this is a five-star apartment. If you plan to use the kitchen to cook...then this is a three- or four-star apartment. The main issue is the lack of exhaust fan, combined with sensitive smoke detectors. It's pretty easy to set them off. And if you do, with those high ceilings, clearing the air is tricky. Especially because one side of the apartment the windows don't open! There's not much in the kitchen either, I found just 1 kitchen towel and no pot-holders. And the small cupboard is minimal and out of the way. But, as I said, maybe you want to be in Philly and not cook! The location is great, with amazing restaurants around the corner.
