Our Himachal Pradesh Tourism registered guesthouse is located in village Kareri. At 1850m this sleepy village has sprawling green fields, waterfalls, running streams, under the shadows of the mighty Dhauladhar Range of mountain. The guesthouse is surrounded by green fields. Wake up with the twittering birds and fill up your lungs with the fresh mountain air. The peace and tranquility is ideal for creative people like artists and writers. This is your nature home away from home. The guesthouse is ideally located, near the road, yet far to offer you complete solitude and peaceful atmosphere. Our rooms have all modern amenities including private attached bathroom with hot water, yet the look inside is that of a typical rural hut with mud coated walls and locally procured stones. This makes the rooms super warm and cozy in the winters and cool during the summers. The views of the mountains, green fields and undulating hills are truly inspiring. We have water coming directly from the mountain springs and the breath of fresh mountain air will rejuvenate you instantly. There are plenty of nature walks, day hikes or multi day hikes nearby and we offer all logistic support for your excursions. We welcome long staying guests at special rates. The home stay is a separate building adjacent to the host house and has two double-rooms similar in size and design. Each has an attached ultra-modern bathroom with electric geysers for hot water. We are primarily a couple and family-friendly home stay and only allow two people in one room and a child under 12 in special circumstances at extra charge. The rooms have been designed simply more in the rural style and will give you the feel of staying in a village house. There’s a verandah and rooftop where you can do yoga or read books or just laze under the sun as you see the snow covered mountains. Besides the rooms you can also camp in our ground, which is a big attraction for children. We provide tents, sleeping bags, mattresses and other camping gears on rent. If you have a driver then we could offer free accommodation for the driver, subject to availability, within our premises. There is paid car parking in the village two minutes walk away. We intentionally do not offer wifi, television or any other kind of entertainment since the idea is to disconnect from the outside world and to connect with your inner self. You are free to use the common kitchen shared with the host family and we also offer you simple village meals, tea, milk, sundry beverages at extra payment. We can cater to up to 4 guests for meals on payment. There are restaurants within 5 minutes walk for you to eat out if you so prefer, and there are grocery shops too to buy all your daily needs or food in vicinity. Our home cooked meals are mostly organic as we grow them in our fields without any chemicals or fertilizers. We also offer free baggage storage
