This delightful newly renovated, detached cottage is the perfect getaway for couples, small families and outdoor enthusiasts. It is located on the N24 Clonmel to Waterford road, directly accross from the Suir Blueway, its private veranda and garden opening onto the River Anner, allowing for private fishing and canoeing. It benefits from a large off road parking area with outside lighting, secure gates, CCTV and key pad access. Breakfast essentials are provided for guests to prepare themselves. The cottage offers charming, traditional features including the original stone walls and magnificent high ceilings complimented by a comfortable and stylish design. It provides a separate fully equipped kitchen complete with breakfast bar, washing machine, coffee machine and microwave. There is a separate bathroom with electric shower, one double bedroom with TV and a comfortable lounge looking out onto private garden through picture framed glazed door. The lounge has one sofa bed, dining table and chairs, smart TV and WIFI. The cottage has triple glazed windows and is heated throughout by electric heaters and a wood burning stove.

We really enjoyed our stay in Turnpike Cottage. It was a great location for exploring the surrounding area and the Blueway. The Cottage itself is beautiful, with everything you could need. Deirdre was an excellent host and had kindly stocked the fridge for us which was a lovely surprise on arrival. We'd definitely recommend a stay here.

Turnpike cottage provided a beautiful base for our stay in Tipperary. Check in was so easy and convenient. The cottage was spotlessly clean, with beautiful decor and very comfortable furnishings. Deirdre kindly stocked the fridge and pantry with lots of delicious breakfast food and all of the essentials we needed. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at the cottage while visiting friends & it’s was stunning. Very accessible location very comfortable, everything was thought of. It was very clean with a stunning seating area looking over the river with plenty of space to move around. Would definitely recommend this cottage as a place to stay

The cottage is located 4kms from the mediaeval town of Clonmel which has pavement access to the shops, bars and resturants. It is located on the N24 which is a central access point for exploring nearby attractions (Cahir castle 20km, Rock of Cashel 26km, Lismore castle 45km) and to the coastal town of Dungarvan (43km), Waterford (45km), kilkenny (50km) Cork (98km) and Dublin (170km). The cottage is within close proximity to Slievenamon mountain, the Galtee, Comeragh and Knockmealdown mountains with numerous walking and hiking trails.
The main attraction accross the road from the cottage is the Suir Blueway which is a 53km kayaking, walking and cycling trail along the beautiful river Suir. This is the perfect way to sample Ireland's beautiful countryside and rich cultural heritage.

Irish rail links clonmel nationally through Thurles and Limerick junction and Bus Eireann offers connections to Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Waterford as well as locally to Cahir.
