Pros: The place is clean, the staff is professional and polite, the bed is comfortable, the layout of the shared spaces is well done. Cons: The room is quite small, little light enters it, can easily hear people talking and passing by outside, the desk has a plastic chair that's not comfortable. For the price, can stay in nearby hotels that offer better value and amenities. But for a place that's boutique and has character, it's nice and fits that type of traveler.

I spent 5 nights here and was very happy with my choice. The staff was friendly and made arrangements for hotel pick-up (recommended) and allowed me to check in in the middle of the night (my flight arrived around 1 am). I had debated whether to find a place in Barranco or in Miraflores, and in the end, this location worked out perfectly; the neighbourhood is not as bohemian as Barranco, and it’s not a total tourist zone like some parts of Miraflores near the major hotels. There is a lot to see (and eat) within walking distance, and catching buses to the Centro Historico and Barranco was pretty easy too. The room itself was exactly as shown in the photos, with good design and a bit of character, too. The bed was comfortable, and I didn’t need to use the heater or air con at all. My room rate didn’t include breakfast, but I did have the option to eat at the hotel if I had wanted to. However, I preferred to get breakfast at nearby restaurants. My favourite was Café de Lima.

I stayed for just over two months - it was my first Peruvian home-away-from-home and I'm so grateful for all the times I was able to return at the end of the day to friends that felt like family! I have nothing but great things to say :) This hotel is even more lovely than the photos suggest. Located in a beautiful, safe, and quiet neighbourhood, it was the perfect walk to the excitement and yet a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle. The courtyard was lovely for doing yoga, eating, working "from home," or enjoying a book, and the bedroom was spacious, clean and cute. Since I was there for such a long time, they were especially generous with additional and thoughtful recommendations, support, and various provisions. But the wonderful staff at Lima 18 Boutique are really what made my stay - from reception to house-keeping, cooking, and management, I felt so welcomed and cared for throughout my time there. I will miss staying at Lima 18 Boutique!
