We loved our time at Top of the Hill. The view was unlike anything we've ever seen. We spent most of our time out on the porch. The enclosed porches were great for keeping kids and dogs contained. The kitchen was well equipped. We were thrilled to see a high chair, baby gate, and 2 pack and plays available for our kids. The Starlink internet was fast and reliable. There are so many more seating areas that aren't in the pictures. You could relax on one of the two porches, down in the yard, over by the fire pit or enjoy lunch at the picnic table. We loved that this house had a yard that was flat and safe for the dogs and young ones to run around without fear of them getting hurt. We loved watching the deer come out of the Christmas tree field at sunset. The sunset views from the porch were absolutely breathtaking. The beds and pillows were memory foam and so comfortable. The water pressure was great. We loved everything about our stay here and did not want to leave.

Beautiful view! Front porch is nice place to hang out and enjoy the view. There is a camera pointed at the front porch and one pointed at back porch. Well stocked kitchen. Saw deer in front of house very early one morning during our stay. Two bunnies in the back. Hummingbird feeder would be nice - saw several at fake wreath by front door. Lost power on last night and could not find flashlights/candles. Due to power outage, had no air, no running water (pump/septic), no internet or cell reception. Power was not restored before checkout-no shower or coffee!! Main floor bathroom is very small-ask for pictures. Would suggest swapping main floor bedrooms - full bed to front and twins to back due to view. One air unit for both floors. My son mentioned they got warm upstairs the first night. They used a fan that was available. May be able to open upstairs windows or lower downstairs thermostat to cool upstairs. May not be an issue if you are not hot natured. My son likes it cool at night.

Thank you for having us! We had an amazing time getting away from everything. The view was so incredible that we ultimately spent most of our time at the house instead of exploring further. This is an incredibly beautiful home and location!

The setting for "Top of the World" is even better than that described and pictured on AirBnB. The house, sitting at almost 4000 feet in elevation, offers a panorama looking north of the Pisgah Ridge that is mind-blowing, including one peak above 6000 feet. We stayed 2 weeks, and appreciated not only the comfort of the house, porch and grounds, but its close proximity to the Tanasee, Wolf Creek, and Bear Creek reservoirs, three stunning lakes we enjoyed kayaking. Like many renters, I'm increasingly disappointed that Airbnb won't accurately provide honest cost figures. Advertised at about $200 per day, the actual cost was over $300 per day, once all the fees and taxes were included.
