This is an incredible property. Absolutely the most beautiful view out of the front windows and total privacy. The caretaker Jose and his wife Patricia were wonderful. I can't recommend Isla Macias enough.

If you do just one thing in Patagonia, stay on this beautiful island! This is a magical place that must be experienced to be believed. There's about 500 acres of pristine hills, beaches and cliffs to explore with snow capped mountains across the water. I felt wonderfully relaxed and peaceful here.

The floor-to-ceiling windows boast incredible views of wild Patagonia — with the views inside just as beautiful as if you were outside. If you’re looking for complete solitude, this is the place. There are hiking trails all over the island leading you to pristine beaches and coves with panoramic views in every direction. José and his wife are some of the kindest hosts I’ve come across on Airbnb. With access to kayaks, fishing poles, and a complimentary boat ride with José around the island, everything was perfect. Highly recommend paying for José to cook a lamb for dinner one night, it was delicious and a lot of food. If you’ve never traveled or stayed anywhere isolated, be sure to manage your time wisely with the boat transfers, as it gets choppy in the afternoon and evening. I’d say just stay on the island the entire time, just stock up on food and drinks and bring over in the boat when you arrive. 10/10 recommend this one of a kind place!!
