Great value!!
The location is great, close to the Forest/Oak Park downtown area and the Green Line. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. The room was bigger than I expected and had everything that I needed. The bed gave me some back problems, it's very soft which is an issue for me but not for others (I know.) Jim was very helpful when the wifi wasn't working even came by to check on it immediately but I still had issues throughout my stay (if you work remotely I don't suggest this place as several days with internet issues/no connection) It's not the cleanest place (mainly bathroom), I had to request someone to come and clean the bathroom. They came the same day to clean it and did a great job (but still paying a cleaning fee I should expect a clean place upon arrival.) Asked for a space heater and was left on read lol... Bathroom dry towels were made for a child not an adult as they were very small Other than those things it was a decent stay...
Unclear instructions of where the house is actually located (on airbnb it's located in one place but the host will give you another location via msgs) be prepared to pay for another uber if you didn't read their messages and just went on from the official location listed on airbnb. host can hardly communicate in English and will give you horrible instructions on the room's location. just be sure to check the location they send you via messages rather than going off on the location listed on Airbnb

Michael and Ling were very good at communicating with us. The house was in a nice neighborhood, the inside of the house was very clean and well maintained. Our room was simple with nice closet, mattress, desk and chair. Well lit room with Light and side table by bed. Nice ceiling fan. Our shared bath was right next to bedroom. Could have used individually wrapped soap and shampoo. Large and very nice kitchen for us to use. Could have provided coffee for coffee maker. Minimal furnishings. But very clean and quiet.

Michael specializes in data science and software development. He has interest and expertise in various fields of scientific research. His hobbies include history, civilization, and geography. Michael's hosting service is assisted by his wife Ling. We greatly appreciate the support of our guests in the past many years. Not only we have expanded our teams, we have also increased the number of hosting facilities. We have rooms ranging from more economic models for thrift travelers to luxurious rooms for exceptional experience. With the facilities we have, the guests have a greater choices of suitable locations and budget levels. We have also re-designed some of our facilities so the entire suite or entire floor can be rented. With the large number of guests we served each year, we rely more on self check-in, and regrettably your host may not be able to meet you in person as in the past. All our facilities are located very convenient and safe neighborhood. We may not have all the bell and whistle of hotel, but in some areas we actually provides more. Most of our hosting facilities include a full kitchen (for light cooking only, as a courtesy to other guests), microwave, refrigerator, washer and dryer. Of course, we have wifi, and internet-ready TV. We would like you to feel that you are staying in a functional home and can stay for an extended period of time.
