The property was clean and well equipped with lovely views of the Langdale valley. The wifi signal was good, which was useful given we had no phone signal at all. Not a problem if you are happy to spend your days walking in the hills, of which you are on the doorstep for many. The bedroom was extremely small making it difficult to edge down the side of the bed, thankfully we are not very big people but this would be an issue for some. That said the bed was comfortable. The property is in a lovely location for walks and there is a pub serving good food daily. Unfortunately the cafe does not allow dogs, which is unusual in the Lake district. The local shop is fairly well stocked. The property now also has a key safe for convenience of checking in, which is not detailed in the description.

We booked this listing a few weeks in advance and we’re promised check in instructions prior to our arrival, these did not arrive. When I contacted the host for these details they did not respond for 8 hours, I then contacted Airbnb support who were also unable to reach them therefore we were forced to find a new place to stay with very short notice. Overall I would not recommend staying with this host as they were completely unresponsive for the full day we were set to check in and made it impossible for it to stay her. This ruined the start of our holiday.
