Going Local was a wonderful beach getaway in KDH and made for a wonderful stay. Going Local offers a very warm and cozy home in the more residential area of the outer banks and offers a great place to stay with a short drive to the beach. There are plenty of fun options nearby and Laurin does her best at laying these options out in the check-in binder. Unfortunately it is plagued by the Bypass which restricts a lot of walking options unless you want to walk at least half a mile to the closest crosswalk. Overall it was a wonderful stay that was perfect for our long weekend.

My family and friends had an amazing stay at Laurin's place! The location was amazing, close to the beach and the sound. The place was exactly as described and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Laurin was extremely responsive, considerate and kind (even dropping off an extra roll of paper towel!) Highly recommended for a family looking to stay in the KDH area, the Hollowell beach was our favorite!

Laurin's place was perfect as we wanted to see as much of the Outer Bank towns as possible and Kill Devil Hills was great as a central location. The house was perfect for our needs and very comfortable. The house had great decor and a lovely backyard with an outdoor shower which was great after coming back from the beach. I've been fortunate to experience wonderful Air BNB hosts through the years, but Laurin is at the top of the class. She is very responsive and was very helpful with any questions we had. I highly recommend her as your host if you are looking to travel to the Outer Banks.
