Located just over a mile from the base of Arenal Volcano the Arenal Hut is set on over 1/4 acre of pristine property with trees, gardens and your own private space.Gated and secure property.Public transportation available.You can ride a bike to town,Excellent views of the volcano, 2 rooms with hot watershower,A/C,comfortable beds, hight-speed internet wifi and cable TV,full kitchen and more!The entrance and egress roads are easy and flat, the hut has 1Queen,1 single bed and 1 sofa for4 people. I can’t say enough about this little place. The yard is huge, you feel like you have your own mountain hideaway, I enjoy walking around in the cool evenings and smelling all of the plants. The place has a gate you can open and close, it’s really safe when you close the gate but there is an alarm system I could see, so I felt even safer. The neighbors were so friendly too The mornings are beautiful the place gets great light, you can open the windows or turn on the air conditioning, either way. you also cook really good meals, with all of the basics provided. I love the outdoor barbecue, I grilled some fish and plantains on it one night and it was delicious cooking over an outdoor fire Costa Rican style I am a mountain biker and I also really enjoyed being so close to the volcano , close enough to see it every day. I was actually able to ride my bike to the volcano and about halfway up the volcano, in about 30 minutes after leaving the place, so it’s very very close This is such a beautiful little areaI was also able to mountain bike to two different rivers, one with a waterfall, and if you are OK driving about eight minutes away there are hot springs that are totally free, you don’t even have to pay.. free hot springs!!! just ask the host, she will tell you where I love the shower in the bathroom .. it’s hot water and not one of those suicide showers! a good shower for sure It’s also nice that the bathroom has an updated toilet, the beds are pretty comfortable and all of the towels and stuff are new. The host even left bath robes! I already talked to the host about going back, definitely recommend this place if you want to get away from the madness but still have everything you need.
