自我介绍

The profile photo is our new great-grandbaby in my arms. She is just beautiful! About me: I am an old soul. My mother often says that I was born one hundred years too late as I like to make everything from scratch, including soap. An avid animal person, I am loved by three dogs, three cats and thirteen chickens. About Ted: He is not so good with the computer. Either that, or he likes to cuss at the iMac for no reason. We have an iMac instead of a laptop because he liked the larger screen. That is how he chooses his electronics. Just don't ask him about his 60" television. It's only six years old and it is dying. He laments about this. About us: Ted and I met at the auto facility where we were both employed. He had been there for decades and I was a recent transfer. When the facility closed, he had 46 years; I had half of that. I fell for him with a single look. He won't tell me when he fell for me because that wouldn't be manly. :) My current job can be performed from any location, so we have decided to trade in our Michigander status to become Floridians. We have a large project ahead of us. As it is about eighteen hours each way, we will be stopping in Georgia in our travels. We will not have our pets with us when we travel. They will be at our Michigan home with a trusted friend. Any ideas on how to get six animals from Michigan to Florida safely will be appreciated. (The chickens are going to a trusted family member.) BTW, in the photo of the three dogs, our Molly is in the process of sitting down (and not squatting). That photo is the only time that we were able to capture all three of them in the same shot. We will have several Michigan to Florida trips due to the high cost of the moving companies. We really are not asking for much; just a safe place to lay our heads so that we don't have to drive straight through. We don't want our clothing or our vehicle stolen, which is why I am looking on airbnb. Maybe we will get to meet you along the way!
