The Lodge is a comfortable industrial-modern, meets bush-veld casual space. Metal beams and exposed brick accent walls, are softened with floor to ceiling bookshelves and high thatched roof. Open plan design leading to patios, give a sense of space and tranquility. Indoor and outdoor gardens create a lush environment. Lodge has well equipped kitchen, large library, fibre internet with strong wifi coverage in all buildings. The lodge is a luxurious retreat from the bustle of our cities, it is close to all the tourist attractions in this area and ideal as a staging point or half way stop. A comfortable home from home for the whole family. The 4 bedrooms are spacious, with luxury linens, ensuite bathrooms and private courtyard with extra outside shower for enjoying starlight ablutions. The loft space has secluded sleeping area , which comprises the 5th bedroom and has use of guest bathroom downstairs. A variety of lounges and comfortable seating areas inside and out, give guests options for relaxing together or in private. Library, board games, puzzles and toys for the kids, will keep everybody entertained and although we do not have channel TV, we offer Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV streaming on the big screen in main lounge. Kitchen and scullery is well stocked with top of the range appliances, crockery, cutlery. Lodge has cleaning staff available weekdays to ensure a more relaxing holiday. Cleaning services over weekends are extra and have to be arranged with host in good time. Attention to detail is our mantra and we endeavour to meet our guests highest expectations. The Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate is home to a variety of plains game, with regular sightings of our resident leopards. The absence of elephants, buffalos, lions and rhinos allow you to explore the estate’s greenbelt area on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback. The green belt has clearly marked walking and bicycle trails and three dams with bird hides for enthusiasts. You can use your own vehicle on game viewing drives through the green belt using designated roads.

Pictures don’t do this place justice. The nicest Airbnb we have ever stayed in South Africa. Thoughtful details, beautiful decor, beds comfy. Plenty of space to spread out with our big group. We will be back. Thank you Anet and Simone!

Simply brilliant ‘escapist pod’. Which is hardly to say the place is small. Quite the opposite - pretty expansive. Great optionality for both solitude and yet easy enough access to a vibey Hoedspruit. Would have relished an extra day or two as the environment continues to grow upon you/ immerses you one day to the next. Exceptional support by host. Did not get to watch much TV considering the allure of the environment including ‘freewheel’ bicycling and an impressive pool. Still great knowing that the mod cons are at hand! Great symbiosis in the eco-system. Which is to say that you will see animals. Hardly any angst required on this front. Great, which is to say a brilliant stay overall! PS: shout-out to the local gym (Wildlife Body and Fitness Center) and the Hoedspruit Brewing Company for excellent pizzas!
A simply wonderful house and location - highly recommend as a base for KNP and the Blyde River Canyon.
Anets home has beautifully curated artififects (the personalised Zebra pottery wins over the books for me😊). Has a unique touch yet maintaining a cozy experience. You walk into an open plan kitchen that overlooks the living room and out into the pool area. At all times, we felt connected as a family. Loved the ease and flow, especicilaly when you hosting a big group. Everything you would think you may need to bring is available in the home. We experienced extreme weather shifts during our time there; a super hot day 40° where it was lovely to enjoy drinks in the pool, and everyone used the outdoor showers in their rooms. Next day a super cold front hit 15° but the chef was able to set up dinner indoors, and there were plenty board games to enjoy over conversation a wine which makes the home an absolute for any occasion. Thank you, Simone, for prompt and effective comms😊 it really lived up to the out of the city escape as we even canceled our offsite activities.

Hoedspruit is a hub of conservation in South Africa and as such, has many activities relating to our beautiful fauna and flora. The Orpen gate of the iconic Kruger National Park is 30km away and the Blyde River Canyon Nature reserve is 120km away.
For the outdoor types, there are walking, running and cycling trails on the estate, with three dams for bird watching (one of the dams also allows fishing). Game viewing drives are allowed in the Estate's green belt at any time.

- Game viewing drives in all the surrounding estates that are open to Kruger National Park.

The lodge is on a plains game wildlife estate in Hoedspruit, Limpopo.
The gate of estate is conveniently close to main shopping area (200m from Pick & Pay Centre).
Parking is available at lodge for three cars.
Hoedspruit can be reached by aeroplane (Eastgate Airport just 13km outside Hoedspruit town) and there are also various excellent shuttle services available from OR Tambo Airport as well as from other local airports. Hoedspruit has four car hire companies in town and at the Eastgate airport.
Game drive operators are available that do collections from our lodge.

I love walking in the bush or next to the ocean and am privileged to be able to do both. Reading and yoga keep me sane and cooking is for fun! We love sharing our home in Hoedspruit and still hold family get togethers in the bush, as it has so much to offer. The small coastal town of Witsand, known as the whale nursery of South Africa, is where we are now and sharing this beautiful small coastal town with visitors is now my mission.
