In the center of the small town, most of the amenities in the accommodation are consistent with the description. The washing machine with laundry balls provided was a big help for us, as we were traveling for several weeks. However, the dryer listed in the facilities is actually a heated towel rack. We stayed at the end of October, and the nights were a bit chilly. The heating was available, and you could adjust it using the square controller on the wall. Although there is no elevator, there are not many stairs inside the building. However, there is a steep incline to climb before entering the accommodation, so those with large luggage should take note. Contact with the property manager was very smooth, and they responded promptly, addressing the issues we encountered at the time, which was reassuring. The slope outside the accommodation leads to the road to the castle ruins, making it perfect for an early morning climb to overlook the town and the beautiful Danube River.

Great private apartment, very clean and in the heart of Durnstein with several things to enjoy within walking distance. Check in was easy.

Great location in a fantastic place! The apartment is huge, and really nice. The town is lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay. The sauna and the gym are not on sight, and a bit of a journey to get to so we never used it. But the apartment was only a 5 min walk to the bus to get to them, and to Krems which has everything you could need.
