I'm married with 5 children - Love life and travel and meeting people. Mubi and I have been hosting on Airbnb since 2018 and have hosted over a thousand stays on airbnb and welcomed over 20,000 guests across all booking platforms to our properties in the city of Portsmouth. We have learned a lot from our guests and their feedback since those early days. We now like to think we have a solid reputation and a flourishing business that is based on giving guests not just a stay, but an experience. Our growth is really driven by listening to our guests, taking feedback and delivering on our five customer commitments around: 1 Cleanliness 2 Value for money 3 Facilities offered 4 Location offering 5 Comfort Our ratings with the two largest On Line Travel Agents we work with is 9.2 and we have similar ratings with the largest online search engine where we are rated at 4.5 and on the largest trip review platform, where again we are rated 4.5. We have over 1,500 reviews with over 90% of guest who left a review posting a perfect score. (though we know we aren’t perfect, we always strive to do better and improve with every guest visit and the valuable feedback we gain in terms of what’s good and also areas for improvement.) We’re also Super-hosts on Airbnb with an overall rating of 4.9. (March 2023.) So we like to think you can be assured of a good stay and experience if staying at one of our properties. Having grown the business we are now at a stage where we have both given up Corporate life to focus’s on our hospitality business. Mubi and I love hosting on Airbnb and have five fantastic signature locations in Southsea for a variety of stays; Ashby’s is a 9 bedroom boutique style accommodation that we market for exclusive group bookings. This is our signature hospitality venue for groups who want to stay together and enjoy the facilities on offer. It’s ideal for groups, or large families and corporate away days. It has hosted weddings, celebrations and is a lot of fun and has access to sauna and steam room ice treatments and two hot tubs. Then we have a 2 bedroom luxury penthouse in the lipstick tower In Gunwharf Quays with the most incredible sea views - with panoramic wall to ceiling glass that offer incredible views of the Solent. This is our premium business let and comes with 24 hour concierge and is for longer term business bookings for those looking for luxury and fully serviced pampering. During some periods of the year we also offer our 6 bedroom luxury villa for rental, which is located next door to Ashby’s Hotel. We also have an amazing 2 bedroom apartment that is the closest building to the sea and beach in Southsea itself. Located just opposite the pier and with great sea views. It’s tastefully decorated and has all the mod cons. Very popular for a family staycations and also as a romantic getaway for couples wanting that extra special location. We also offer a premium stay luxury 7 room Villa. All rooms are self contained studios and designed, furnished and decorated to the very highest standard of luxury. The property boasts its own spa and has a state of the art 10 person hot tub with indoor sauna and steam room and ice treatment facilities. Ashbys Deluxe Studios and Ashbys Accommodation are situated next door to one another and can be hired together to offer a unique celebration venue for events like: weddings & celebrations that combine the best of both venues for up to 50 people. This offers opportunities for large groups to host special events. We have been lucky enough to meet some incredible guests over the past 3 years and have hosted a wide range of stays including: celebrities, teams competing in the Americas cup and even members of the Royal household for the D Day celebrations. So whatever you’re looking for we think we have something for everyone wising to saviour all that the city has to offer.
