We only stayed the night, but this house had everything we needed and more. Super value for what's included and filled to the brim of history things to do. Matt was always quick to respond to any emails and the house was easy to navigate. Super comfy and peaceful. We would definitely stay again.
Fabulous location, cosy cottage.Basic as described, but really well stocked. Matt is an excellent host and prompt communicator and we’d definitely stay again.
The cottage is a work in progress, something the owners are very honest about on booking. All the basics are there (no telly so warn the kids!), washing machine, basic non-perishable foodstuffs on a 'use and replace' system, comfy beds and a warm shower so it does what is needed for a night or two. Owner is really responsive to messages and very helpful, a great wee spot if you are looking for something different.
Low key & wonderful, a hidden gem. Homely but very organised. We really enjoyed our stay!
We had a lovely stay at Matt's place. It is a beautiful location and the house was exactly as described. The kitchen, in particular, is really well stocked and made cooking really enjoyable (which it isn't always in an Airbnb!). We had a Sainsbury's delivery arrive the day we got there which made catering during the week really easy. We ate at the pub in Bowness one night which was excellent. A really peaceful and unique stay.
