The host accepted my booking and then messaged to tell me that the unit had racoons. She said she could try to find me a different unit to stay in if I couldn't tolerate them and then I didn't hear back from her until 3 hours prior to checking in telling me she hadn't seen my messages. I felt like I had been scammed. The unit smelled bad, there was animal hair everywhere and the unit was in need of some obvious repairs. I did not stay and I contacted Airbnb for a refund which I did receive in full. Was very expensive and would not recommend.

I stayed here for a month, and it was a great place to stay. Very close to downtown, safe neighborhood, great neighbors, and a historic area. On top of it, the interior was recently upgraded, and all of the kitchen equipment is brand new. The host was excellent, and was extremely accommodating and made sure to check in with me to see if there is anything she could do to make my stay more enjoyable. If I am ever to come back to Plattsburgh, this is my first option and would highly recommend it to anyone.

The place is simply beautiful! It is perfectly located with a view of the lake. The apartment is a seven-minute walk to restaurants and bars. The place is fully furnished with a washer and dryer as well as a dishwasher. One of the owners lives in the building, which makes communication very easy. She is very nice and understanding. For a single person or a couple, this place is ideal. I spent five months there and loved my time. I was at the university every day (about 20 min.). I highly recommend the place!

Great place — beautifully renovated kitchen and bathroom in a gorgeous old mansion near Lake Champlain. Heather is a gracious host and quick to respond to questions/requests. Will definitely return!
