Very enjoyable stay in salcombe at salt water cottage. House is well located for town and has been recently tastefully refurbed. We spent more time inside than planned due to bad weather and enjoyed the comfortable space and amenities. Lots of nice touches and everything you will need. Slept great -very quiet and peaceful setting with creek views from top floor roof light. Highly recommend. Hosts helpful and responsive! 👍

Just got back from staying 4 nights in Gail and Liz’s beautiful home. Couldn’t fault it, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️so close to the town and long stay car park only £8.70 for 24 hours. The house was spotlessly clean and beautiful tasteful decor throughout, it had everything you could think of. Would definitely recommend, wish we could have stayed for longer now. Have stayed in Salcombe a lot over the years and this is the best home I’ve stayed in so far. Host quick to come back to you and help with any questions. Thank you for having us.

Had a good week away. The location is ideal for getting into Salcombe, just two minutes on foot. Pros - good location, nicely positioned and equipped communal area in the basement for family’s to share time together. Great boiler / utility room for washing/ drying clothes, comfortable beds. Cons - minor. Only 1 hairdryer for all bedrooms (which are all on separate floors), very small supply of loo roll and other basics (eg washing up liquid). Need to park 15 mins walk away on the edge of town. Didn’t like the ensuite shower room in top bedroom - cramped, slow running shower and the floor got very wet so had to wait till floor dry before using the toilet. Bedrooms would benefit from having sheets, as far too hot for duvets. Overall, nice property in great location for exploring Salcombe by foot. At over 2.5 k for a week (most we’ve ever paid) think it is very expensive for what it is, but perhaps that’s what you have to pay for Salcombe and for booking fairly late.

Lovely, stylish cottage, in central location close to the water. Some additional useful points to note: 1. All bedrooms had fans which was fantastic (especially for the loft room). 2. Beds were firm memory foam mattresses, good quality feather duvets. 3. Ground and first floor bedrooms had shutters at the windows which were total blackout (great for children). 4. The back garden has a side gate access onto the track and an outdoor tap (helpful for washing sandy feet and storing beach kit and drying wetsuits. 5. Basement utility room has the boiler so although there is a separate tumble dryer we didn't use it because the room was hot and could air dry washing. 6. Loft room ensuite is a wetroom but the position of the shower meant our things on the basin, the towels and the loo paper stayed dry!
