great location, easy access and quiet neighborhood

What a tremendous stay in Philadelphia! Elizabeth's apartment in the historic Marine Club is an inner-city oasis. Highlights include a welcoming front desk staff, a gorgeous private courtyard with a relaxing koi pond, and safe on-site parking. As another guest noted, location, location, location. Not only were we close to UPenn, but we also left the car keys behind and easily walked to a grocery store, Target, and Insomnia Cookies. We also walked to some must-see local attractions including Reading Terminal Market (the pulled pork sandwich at DiNic's will not disappoint), Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, South Street, and City Hall. If you enjoy seafood, do yourself a favor and walk over to Rittenhouse Square for outdoor seating at Devon Seafood and Grill for the Miso Glazed Sea Bass and sticky rice. If you are looking for breakfast, we hit Miles Table cafe for a delicious byob brunch. We would absolutely stay again.

We had a great time at Elizabeth’s place! The location is perfect for walking to shops and restaurants (having a Target, Sprout, and Chipotle nearby was really handy!). It was only a 10-15 minute drive to the train station too which made it easy to visit other cities. Having a Dedicated parking spot was great! It was a bit challenging with a mini-van; compact vehicles would be easier to navigate, and one night our spot was taken, but Elizabeth had good customer service and navigated that process with us. Some wear and tear at the home is apparent.
