A fantastic place to stay to take day trips exploring the Great Ocean Road. 5 mins from Apollo Bay, it has spectacular views, is just across the road from the beach, is spacious and well kept and Tanja kept us updated from the time we booked to check out. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a large family or a small group.

This place has an amazing ocean view. It is located in a small village only 5 min away from the hustle bustle Apollo Bay, ideal for holiday makers. The house is very roomy. Facilities are quite sufficient plus an old piano. Well suited for any families or a group of tourists wanting to stay a few days to enjoy what the Great Ocean Road and the Otway National Park can offer. The host allowed us an early check-in what was very handy for our first day. Highly recommend!

Loved our stay at Ocean Sounds, so relaxing and a great place. Thanks for the great communication and making everything so straight forward. I would suggest letting other guests know that the king bed in the main bedroom is actually 2 beds pushed together with seperate sheet sets, while not a big deal we found this a bit uncomfortable as they would separate if we laid too close to the middle! Our family treasured our trip and really enjoyed the space ☺

Delightful location with lovely ocean views. All the facilities you need including CDs, children's toys and a well appointed kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. Great for large families.

Ocean sounds is a beautiful, spacious house with a brilliant ocean view located a 5 minute drive outside Apollo Bay and a 2 minute walk from the beach. Myself and my family rented the place for 4 nights over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Although it is certainly on the expensive side, it was worth it given the location and size/comfort of the house and its amenities. Because Tanja and her family live there, I thought the balance of feeling like you're staying in someone's home, while not having too much stuff in the way, was perfect. The house is well decorated and the pantry was supplemented with cooking supplies and condiments, but there was also plenty of room for our own things. Tanja was extremely helpful and always responsive to my emails, and visited soon after our arrival to check things were ok. Overall, our experience renting the place and staying there was excellent. My only issue was that, although the place was generally very clean, it seemed the cleaning could have been more thorough - some parts of the floor were dirty and some crockery food-stained. It wasn't a huge problem, but given the cleaning fee one would expect everything to be spotless. Overall I certainly recommend Ocean Sounds to anyone willing to spend a little more for an outstanding summer vacation on the Great Ocean Road.
