Lovely lodge with great hosts, everything went well and according to the plan. Andy & Charlotte were super friendly and did a great job maintaining the tub during our stay. The area is beatiful and the view from the lodge is excellent. Will definitely come back in future.
Really nice place and great hosts. The hot tub is incredible and it was awesome having a pool table. Welcome basket with beers, coffee, jam, fresh bread was a nice touch. There were only three of us, but it could sleep 8 very comfortably. Kitchen stocked with everything, including spices. Communication was easy and fast. Would definitely stay again!
Charlie and Andy were very communicative and on top of all our needs! Upon entry to the home, we were greeted with a thoughtful welcome gift with local delicacies. The sourdough loaf was amazing we ended up getting more for chili we had one night. The hot tub was perfect with incredible views. The beds were insanely comfortable. Perfect location, not too far from town and not too far from kicking horse ski resort as well as other ski resorts and towns like Banff and lake Louise. We ended up getting engaged during this trip and wouldn’t have asked for a better stay to do so! One of my favorite airbnbs ever and we will be back next year for sure! 😍🙌🏻🏔️😊

The perfect venue for an overdue family reunion and birthday celebration. There was lots of space for our group, the beds were comfy and the heating very efficient to keep the place nice and warm. For relaxation and rejuvenation, the hot tub on the deck was just what we needed after a long journey. We could not have asked for a better location; stunning mountain views in a quiet rural setting, but still convenient for town for any services required, including Kicking Horse Resort. Andy & Charlie were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and their communications were swift and clear. Thanks for a great start to our first winter vacation in Canada!

Hi I'm Charlotte but please do call me Charlie! My husband Andy and I have moved from the UK to the beautiful town of Golden in BC Canada to surround ourselves with nature and to live a life full of adventure. We have been lucky enough to travel to so many exciting corners of the world and airbnb was always our first choice. Our airbnb hosts and the places we have stayed have provided us with lasting memories. Now we have the opportunity to host and we couldn't be more excited. We host the Lodge @ The Lazy Elk a spacious log frame home from home cabin in the Canadian Rockies. We do live on the property in a small eco home we built with our very own hands in Summer 2020 based on Passive Haus principles. We would love the chance to show off our build and talk through the Passive Haus credentials if you are interested (I'm sure we could fit a beer in there too!).
