You will feel comfortable and secure in this newly finished lower level apartment. Enjoy our lovely, safe and quiet neighborhood. Less than a mile from shopping, dining, theaters, parks and nature centers. Plus, many walking and bike trails, a large public beach, a nature preserve, and a ski hill are all within a 5 minute drive. TheTwin Cities metro area offers great entertainment, from the famous Guthrie Theatre to two professional orchestras to major league sports of all kinds! Clean, newly finished light-filled lower level apartment with a side entrance and garage. Fully furnished private living area with full size bed, full ceramic tiled bathroom, and kitchenette stocked with dishes and cookware. The laundry and two patios are shared. If needed, I do have an extra twin bed that can be set up for an occasional extra guest.

I am a student that stayed at Marilyn's place for the summer (for an internship). It was an awesome stay; Marilyn is extremely friendly and easy to talk to, but also respects her guests' privacy. The actual place is the lower level of her home, and it had everything I needed: a bedroom area, living room area, kitchen area, and a bathroom. The place was clean and organized when I arrived, and I did not have any problems whatsoever with my stay. I would highly recommend Marilyn's place to others!

I had an excellent stay with Marilyn. The room is clean and cozy and has everything you might need, even for an extended stay. The location was perfect for me and I had easy access to the city while still being in a friendly, quiet suburb. Lots of nice cafes nearby to get work done and a short bike ride to get groceries. Marilyn was also an incredibly kind houseguest; very communicative, respectful of my privacy and flexible. Also an excellent cook! If you’re looking for a place to stay in Bloomington, I would highly recommend staying with Marilyn!

My home is in a quiet residential area, but only a few minutes from many fun activity venues. Two nature preserves with hiking/biking trails (one is 2 blocks away and the other 1.5 miles), a downhill ski hill one mile away (another is 8 miles), a public beach 2 miles, several grocery stores, 2 shopping centers and many great restaurants within 2 miles.
Park your car in the garage or driveway, or on the street. The area is easy to bike in and there are bikes you can request to use here. There are some public busses that stop a block or two away. Of course Uber and Lyft work well too.
