Very nice cabin right on the river. We only had time to stay one night but would like to come back sometime for a weekend. Very clean and comfortable. Host Don was friendly and responsive. We were grateful they would accommodate our dogs. Highly recommend!

Don’s Cabin was a great family get away from Grand Rapids. We had great weather snd the sound of the river at night makes it really enjoyable.

From the outside, the cabins at Reed's on the Lake don't look like much. They look like your classic little 1940's fishing cabins by a meandering river. But the insides have been completely gutted, insulated, and refurbished, bringing them into the modern era. Although we rented Cabin 2, which was quite small, our family of 4 didn't have many issues feeling like we didn't have enough space. The beds were very comfortable. They offered us some extra blankets to stay warm when the temps dipped. The bathroom and shower were roomy. And I was really impressed at what items were laying around for us to use (just what I needed!). Some vegetable oil for cooking, a coffee maker, measuring cups, pots and pans, and enough towels for our entire family. There is firewood and other supplies available at the lodge for a modest fee - all you would need for a nice night sitting around the campfire cooking s'mores. The cars on the main road can get a bit loud at times, but we never heard a thing when we were inside the cabin, which means they've been really well insulated. Really amazing little rustic cottage, only 25 minutes from Mackinaw City. Highly recommended!

We loved staying at this cute cabin! It’s perfect for a quick getaway and has everything you need and more! Definitely a great place to stay if you’re exploring the area!
