Great country house! Stayed for a winter weekend with my family and it was just as described. It's only minutes from a skiing hill, cozy and comfortable. Would definitely come back.

A gorgeous home in a peaceful area. We rented this house to spend New Year holiday as a family of 8, and were super comfortable. Some of my family members took advantage of the nearby Mohawk Mountain to go skiing. Others went to the town of Litchfield to enjoy Mark and Daire’s culinary recommendations. Speaking of our hosts, they were wonderfully attentive and were easy to reach for any questions. Their property is beautiful, well kept and expansive. We had two small dogs with us who took full advantage of the vast outdoor space. I can only imagine how beautiful this place is during the summer. Overall, a fantastic stay.

This historic farmhouse is situated on a peaceful, expansive property and the perfect distance (about 10 minutes drive) to the adorable town of Litchfield. We celebrated Christmas here, and Daire & Mark allowed us to bring a Christmas tree and hang other decorations around the house during our stay, which was so appreciated! The farmhouse dining room is idyllic, and the fireplace room was super cozy. The bedding is comfortable in all rooms, and there was plenty of space for 7 adults and a dog (definitely a bonus that it's pet-friendly!). The kitchen had everything we needed, but the appliances are not modern or large, and some of the cooking utensils were broken. Also, it's clear that either past guests or the hosts allow their dogs on all the furniture, but that didn't bother us because we are all pet owners ourselves. Mark was very responsive throughout our stay -- one of the most responsive AirBnB hosts I've ever experienced. Thanks to them for a lovely Christmas!

Such a beautiful home and property! We rented this house to host Thanksgiving dinner and had plenty of room to accommodate a large crowd. The kitchen was slightly rustic but we had everything we needed to prepare a large Thanksgiving meal and all appliances were fully functional. The house is lovely mix of old and new - gorgeous wide plank flooring, beams and old doors and windows, yet the bathrooms, bedding and furniture is updated, comfortable and stylish. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. You can tell this property is well loved. I wish we were there in the summer to enjoy the beautiful pool. I’m so glad the owners share their home on Airbnb. We will be back!

Really beautiful home with stunning property! Daire and Mark were attentive and easily reached for any questions we had during our stay. Our group loved the fireplace, the media room for movie nights, and the pool (though we wish we had come earlier in the season when it was warmer.) Please note the home is not the most accessible for folks with limited mobility!
