We really enjoyed our little holiday. Great location really comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. Laurelle is a great host, we definitely hope we visit again soon.
Laurelle and Alex were perfect hosts.. Really friendly and helpful. The cottage was lovely and very well stocked! The location was great being easily walkable to Huskisson shops and restaurants. It is also close to the beach and national parks. All in all the Hidden Gem really is a gem and we would love to go back sometime.
We really enjoyed our mini family gateaway at Hidden Gem. It was close enough to everything we needed (especially, beaches and Moona Moona Creek were in just less than 10 minutes walking distance) but tucked away from any hustle and bustle. The accommodation was comfortable, thoughtfully decorated , and also had everything we needed. Laurelle and Alex even provided a customised colouring book & and a handmade little wooden boat with my little one's name on it together with lots of toys that she can play with during our stay. We felt genuinely welcomed. The breakfast hamper basket included eggs, bacons, mushrooms/tomatoes, cereals, various snacks, condiments, Sourdough bread, etc. The full kitchen had everything we needed, so we cooked nice dinner and breakfast to have them at the alfresco overlooking a beautiful garden at the courtyard. Highly recommend staying if you plan to stay in Jervis Bay area.
This is the best Airbnb you could possibly book! Laurelle and Alex’s place is absolutely beautiful, and they are the most thoughtful and friendly hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome, were comfortable and had everything we could need, including a very very generous welcome hamper and special things put out for our young baby. Their place is in a wonderful location with so much to do, in a lovely setting with its own private garden, and is presented beautifully. We are so glad that we booked to stay at Laurelle and Alex’s place and can’t wait to visit again. Thank you so much!
Laurelle is an excellent host! She is friendly and thoughtful and provided us with a delicious basket of goodies upon arrival. Great location and walkable to beach and restaurants. Hidden Gem was as advertised; charmingly decorated and clean. Felt like home. Look forward to a return visit.

We are both retired married with 2 children. My husband Alex is helping me with our new adventure of hosting an Airbnb. In the past we have enjoyed travelling in Australia and overseas. We have been both involved with Scouting, Men Sheds, Returned Service League and Lioness. I enjoy cooking jams and pickles for charities, gardening, walking and all kinds of craft. I am trying to make, take and give the best of my life in retirement. We both like meeting people from different parts of Australia and the world which has been part of our working careers. Travel allows us to experience different cultures, food, arts, buildings and different lifestyles.
