A quaint, and private getaway for those looking to unwind and recharge throughout the year. Enjoy views of the Bay of Quinte from your deck while sitting by the fire table, the front deck or the living room. Conveniently located a short drive from downtown Picton, Sandbanks Provincial Park & surrounding wineries. Minutes away from Lake on the Mountain and it's delightful restaurants. You will find Desta conveniently located to take full advantage of all that Prince Edward County has to offer. The word Desta is the Swahili name for destination and joy. When travelling through Tanzania many years ago this word touched my heart and felt like the perfect name for our beautiful cottage, being the instrument for others to find joy, happiness and create memories. Desta is an open, comfortable space and provides a tranquil environment for your home away from home.

We stayed at Desta for an extended weekend with my parents. The chalet is a really good deal and there is a beautiful view from its living room. Brenda is wonderfully friendly and helpful, she gave us a lot of recommendations for things to do in the area. I definitely recommend! Valentin

It was a pleasure to stay here with our 6 year old son. Brenda was very responsive and helpful, the place was kept nice and clean, the beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. Perfect place to relax with great access to all the wonderful locations in the County.

Brenda’s place was perfect for our family of three - my fiancé, puppy and I. The place was well maintained, spacious and cozy. We were supposed to leave during a snow storm and Brenda proactively reached out and offered for us to ride the storm out for another night. We can’t thank Brenda enough. We love the county and will be back to stay at her place again

We are within walking distance to the Glenora Ferry, 3 minute drive to Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park -there is a most incredible views in the county, there is also a couple of restaurants there, or take a blanket and have a picnic in the park. We are also close to the McFarland park which is beautiful. There is a boat launch but it is temporarily not available. There is a lovely horse riding place called Diamond J Ranch that you may book a wonderful experience.
We are close to Lake on the Mountain Brewery, and also a 15 minute drive to the wineries in Waupoos. The Sandbanks is also about a 15 minute drive to.
There are farmers markets, restaurants, the Millennial Trail that goes through the county, shops, artisans, and so much more to see and explore in Prince Edward County!

出行信息

If you will be visiting our many wineries and breweries I suggest hiring a company to drive you around or have a designated driver. Please do not drink and drive.
When travelling into the town of Picton going up the town hill you have the right of way….. Do Not Stop going up… but be cautious in case someone is unaware that you have the right away. Going down the town hill you must stop and proceed when the way is clear to go down the town hill.
