AREA Georgian Bay is home to the 30,000 islands and you can take great boat tours from Midland and Penetanguishene. Other area attractions include St Marie Among the Hurons, Martyrs Shine, Wye Marsh Conservation , Georgian Bay National Parks, Discovery Harbour, Keewatin Steamship, Port McNicoll and many more. Close to hundreds of kilometres of wilderness biking or walking trails. I generally don’t write negative reviews but I feel like people need to know that this place is overpriced and not good value for what it is. The pictures are a lot better than the reality. The cottage smells like old smoke and is not clean generally. The small beach also has lots of algae and a strange large black tarp at the edge of the water around which algae collects. We paid premium pandemic summer prices (almost $1000 a night including taxes and fees) and we honestly regretted it and ended up leaving early.

Great vacation spot! Very shallow water so its great for young kids. There are a lot of rocks in the water, so water shoes would be an ideal item to bring along for everyone. Other than that, beautiful place to visit!
Our stay at the cottage was great. The highlights were the terrific view of the water from the rear deck and the kitchen/living room, the clean and wide beach, and the cleanliness when we arrived. We also appreciated a management follow up the day after we arrived to see if we needed anything and to see how we were settling in. This property is managed well we would come again.
An great place with amazing views and fantastic beach. MDR and the owners were extremely responsive. Everything you need is supplied. The only reason for the 4-star rating is that it doesn’t have a dining table (one wasn’t advertised but felt was missing) and felt was priced on the higher side. A small group would definitely enjoy a nice stay here.
