Beautiful setting. Yafa is a gracious host and greeted us with vegetables from her garden. The home is on the rustic side. Be aware that the second bedroom requires climbing a ladder / steep stairs.

We had a wonderful stay at Yafa’s Blue Heron Farm. The cottage is spacious and comfortable, situated on a beautiful property. Quiet, rural and totally idyllic! Yafa is a lovely, attentive host, who made us feel welcome and even gifted us with veggies from her garden when we arrived. We highly recommend Blue Heron Farm, and hope to return soon!

A heavenly respite from daily life - Yafa's place invites repose. The land is teeming with woodpeckers, bluebirds, barn swallows, sparrows, robins and of course, great blue herons. I counted at least 6 nests! You have plenty of privacy and decks around the house, great for contemplating the wonder of this planet. If you're feeling active, there's a lake with a trail around it and a canoe at the ready to encounter turtles, bullfrogs and fish. Monarch butterflies were everywhere. The inside of the space is thoughtfully designed with eclectic flourishes that make you smile and relax. Its open layout has the feel of a loft but with private rooms. The artwork and design is both warm and thought-provoking. Just a short ride from shopping and Lake Nockamixon, this is an ideal location with a beautiful, accommodating host. I cannot recommend this space highly enough! In my years of airbnb visits, this one is one of the best I've found!

Yafa and her dog Matisse are WONDERFUL hosts. We had a great time swimming in the pool, paddling around the pond, and exploring the area. There is a lot more to do in the area than we expected and Yafa's land is amazing.

🚨 NOT FOR COUPLES LOOKING FOR PRIVACY 🚨 The home itself was fine. Some bugs and spiders visibly living amongst your bathroom and bedroom experience but that’s to be expected in a converted barn I suppose. What made this a disappointing experience was the host’s lack of honesty as it pertains to the property’s configuration and layout. My wife and I live in NYC and we’re looking for complete seclusion on this brief getaway to the countryside. Prior to booking the home I’d asked the host whether there were any other homes close by on the property and whether my wife and I would have sole access to the pool during our stay. The host was dodging my questions which should have been a red flag but when I pressed her on these questions she replied “you will have all the privacy you want, that is the point!” Well, not quite. Not at all. When we arrived we saw that the property’s main home is literally across the driveway from this cabin and there is also another guest home about 100 yards away. But what really made this a poor experience was that while my wife and I were lounging at the pool, the host came up to us and told us her son and his girlfriend were going to come use the pool. When we expressed a bit of confusion she remarked, “well, you did use the pool most of the day”. We were there for 2 hours. Sure enough, 5 minutes later her son and girlfriend awkwardly arrive at the pool. We left at that point and thankfully we did, because two additional cars full of people arrived after that and went to the pool for what looked like some kind of family reunion or gathering, going on across the driveway from the cabin and in the pool area we were told we’d have exclusively. Key takeaway: the owner is not a completely honest person, and this stay is not for anyone or any couple looking for privacy during their stay.
