Marlene and Hans are excellent hosts, very helpful and available if necessary. My fiance and I stayed for one a half months (Feb./Mar.) after I had moved to the Netherlands and the apartment was perfect as a first place to settle and prepare everything for my life in the country. The rooms are beautifully decorated. You find a portable heater which can be used individually. As it wasn't very warm outside during our stay we appreciated this feature a lot. The bathroom has no window but is equipped with a ventilation system that works well. The kitchen had everything that we needed for our stay. Surrounded by nature and in a walkable distance to supermarkets and the center, the apartment is located perfectly. A gas station is right around the corner, with good prices in comparison to other ones in the region ;) I recommend the apartment to anyone interested in booking a short or long stay option and would love to stay there again.

I stayed at this Airbnb for about 6 weeks as I had just moved from abroad to start my PhD at Wageningen. When I first arrived, Hans picked me up from the train station and drove me to the house (this was a great help considering I had a backpack and suitcase). The home itself is quite cozy and private, and the garden is visited often by birds. You can easily walk to the downtown area in Renkum for groceries or other household items. They also have a bike you can use - I commuted every workday to wageningen and really enjoyed the route. I had originally booked my stay for 3 months anticipating an extended search for long-term housing, but I had fortunately found an apartment in one month. Hans kindly let me change the reservation without any additional fees or cancelling charges. When I moved out, he also gave me a ride to my new place. Hans and Marlene are very kind and respectful, so if you’re looking for a nice stay near Wageningen I couldn’t recommend this place more.

We booked this place as a temporary stay while searching for a rental. We enjoyed very much the delightful guest room and the charming yard, with nice unexpected animal visitors, prompting us to extend our stay. We hope to return someday!
