We had a lovely time - quirky but very comfortable accommodation and Brian was brilliant - nothing was too much trouble. Perhaps needs a little more lighting in the lounge but our granddaughter loved the piano! Lots to do in the area if you prepared to drive a little way. All in all, very good - everywhere very well stocked and some very generous goodies left for our arrival. Thank you Brian :)

Brian’s cottage in Duns is a labor of love. He has restored it in the most observant ways - so as to make it modern but to not overly distract any of its history and charm. Duns is a bit removed, but just what we were looking for in our first venture out into the Scottish boarders. House is very clean, thoughtful supplied, insanely large & fantastic tub, excellent shower pressure, spacious for families to spread out. Lavish wild garden to harvest from, apple orchard to wonder in, field for pups to romp. Local wildlife (adorable hedgehogs!) you really don’t want to leave once you settle in. A cozy fireplace by the sofa to warm you as binge on Netflix’s and cocktails - cause the closest pub is in churnside. Brian is an excellent host! And quick to respond to any questions. Can’t wait to go back!!! Close to Berwick upon tweed & Eyemouth. Both worth exploring. Good fish and chips by ice cream and solid coffee from Rialto in Eyemouth. Berwick upon tweed is excellent for walking/exploring

Blackadder mains cottage is a beautifully restored character property, tastefully furnished and decorated. A real ‘home from home’ in a great location for sightseeing across the Scottish Borders. Brian was a great host, communicating effectively and providing those little extras like fresh flowers in some of the rooms and allowing us to pick produce from the well stocked garden. We would thoroughly recommend staying here!

Perfect in every way , the cottage is a great place to spend some time away from it all. We found everything immaculate, not one issue during the two+ weeks we stayed. The whole place is very well appointed with anything you would need while the kitchen is equipped above and beyond. Gardens are gorgeous with ample space in the fields behind- can’t wait to return and see all the flowers and plants in spring!! Brian was a great host - we’ll be back!

Welcoming and comfortable traditional country cottage in a hidden gem of a location. Well equipped, loved using the range to cook (much easier than we thought!) and enjoying the real log fire every night. Beautiful gardens and the dogs loved the 5 acre field - an added bonus. Well placed to explore the local area, gorgeous beaches only 20 mins away. Brian was an excellent host and we'd thoroughly recommend and hope to return :).
