Great location on a quiet road near the lake. Everything we needed to relax, cook, and rest was available. We were a little to cavalier with not using bug stay while outside so make sure if you're staying here to layer it on. There were some local insects in the cabin (as to be expected) but we let Nancy know.

The house and location and pictures are spot-on for this listing. The owner is extremly prompt in replying and answering all questions, and goes above and beyond to help with locating services in the area. We wanted a family vacation amidst covid confinement. Our son and family are in Tulsa. My husband and I live in Texas. We knew nothing of lake Tenkiller and picked this house purely on location and availability. The house interior and layout exceeded expectations. (The kitchen is well equipped but small so cooking elaborate meals would be tricky but the bar works great for serving.) Pre arrival the owner explained clearly there was no road access to the lake due to road washout. Walking access was tricky at first but our son located, on day 2, a great water play place for 5 year old . Before that, the owner provided detailed info on a safe, child-friendly swim spot at a nearby park. She was also crucial in helping identify a marina with boat rental. We give the house a 9.5. We give location a 9 for us, but if we had had a boat each day or had not had a small child, we would give it a 10. Access and exit was so easy we would give that bonus points at 11. The owner definitely gets bonus points of at least 11. We had an awesome family bonding time at a relaxing, clean, safe place and all of us would recommend this rental.

Would not recommend this house. When we arrived there were dead bugs on the kitchen countertops. Dirty dishes left in the dishwasher from the previous renters. Kitchen needs lots of TLC. No cereal bowls. Had to hand wash dishes we did use due to not being clean. Cobwebs in the cabinets. And there is a toilet in the pantry! The entire house needs updates. The back porch would have been nice to enjoy but had not been cleaned in some time. In general had a hard time relaxing when we there due to uncleanliness and need for updates throughout the house.

Great Lake house. Plenty of room to relax. Very comfortable for me and my friends.
