Spacious sizeable villa- generous rooms and bathrooms- with a very useable, useful outdoor sitting & eating area beside the pool. All was clean and well presented, the kitchen had plentiful crockery, cutlery, trays & dishes etc, although we didn’t find the hob the easiest to use. Location was excellent- a quiet residential area but v. close to the sea and a short stroll to a few decent restaurants and a small spar, and a very easy walk down the sea front to shops/pubs/eateries etc. We had a small plumbing issue but communication with Josep was easy and things were resolved very promptly. The welcome pack was much appreciated- good basics- bread/ butter/ milk/fruit/wine and some cupboard staples which meant we didn’t have to shop on arrival. A minor niggle was the lack of any sort of instructions for hob/refuse/recycling etc. and there was nothing in the way of local recommendations/leaflets/maps etc. But otherwise, all was very good and we had a fab and very enjoyable hol here.

We had a really great holiday in this villa. It was very spacious and outside there was plenty of shade when needed. We all loved the pool especially the children. But there were a couple of niggles. The kitchen could have been cleaner but there was plenty of crockery etc for 9 people. The shower heads need replacing in some of the bathrooms. But we would love to go back again.

Just back from a lovely fortnight stay at Villa Monxo. It can sometimes feel a little nervous when spending so much money via a website, but nothing to worry about here. Josep communicated well throughout, including excellent directions to the Villa and access instructions. We had other people join us for the 2nd week and Josep made sure that all beds were changed in time. He made sure that our pool and bath towels were changed 4 times during our stay. He even helped with calling the police one night when a very noisy party went on until 4am in a villa opposite (as we’ve stayed in Llenaire many times over the years, this was really unusual for this area hence the call to him!). Overall, Josep was an excellent host and Villa Monxo is beautiful - clean, everything works, it’s quiet (mostly!) and walking distance to the beach, shops and Pine Walk. The only change I would like would be more freedom around the air con rather than being restricted to the set timer of 1900-0700hrs.

Beautiful house, garden and pool, which was very comfortable and well appointed. Josep responded quickly when we had a minor electrical fault. However, the Wi-Fi reception was poor upstairs; and one of the showers, also upstairs, did not have good water pressure, so some of our party had to use other showers in the house. It would have been helpful if the information on what was provided had said that beach towels were not, and we could have brought some rather than having to buy them when there. A small ‘welcome pack’ of basic items (milk, bread, drinking water, coffee etc ) would have been appreciated and allowed for a snack on arrival, before setting off to find a supermarket. Consideration could be given to the provision of a carbon monoxide alarm, although these do not seem to be required in Spain. Overall, however, this is lovely, well maintained and comfortable accommodation, which greatly enhanced our holiday and made us all wish we were staying longer!
