My space is located in the rural area of the city of Paraty, on the road Paraty-Cunha (Route 165). It is a modern house, well equipped and well-integrated with Nature, nestled in a piece of the Atlantic rain Forest, in the National Park of Serra da Bocaina, 10km from the center of the historical center of Paraty. There is waterfalls with crystal-clear natural swimming pool, with private access, jungle gym, sauna, trails in the forest, therapeutical therapies and you can order nice local food. A modern and well equipped cabin, built in the inspiration of an indian hut. A single space houses bedroom, closets and a kitchen counter, with a partition separating the bathroom. The glass doors make you feel inside the forest. Fruit trees grow along with native trees in a sustainable agricultural system known as agro-forest. At the entrance a bed of kitchen herbs, with basil, mint, parsley and other are available for the guest to use them. A crystal clear river crosses the land with a waterfall and a natural swimming pond. The access to the waterfall is through a 500 meters long track. Steep but easy to access. Cars with 4x4 traction can easily drive to the land. The access to the waterfall has to be done on foot. On rainy days the descent to the river may become slippery. Please be careful when going down. When walking through the forest or in the river, children must ALWAYS be accompanied by adults!

Ficar na aldeia foi uma experiência bastante diferente da qual eu e meu esposo já havíamos experimentado. O lugar é lindo, totalmente ligado à natureza e feito para quem quer se desconectar do mundo e se conectar com a natureza. A noite, o céu ficar super estrelado por conta da natureza e falta de luz. O único ponto negativo é o problema com água quente que enfrentamos no banho (ora tinha, ora não tinha). Do restante, foi muito bacana. O Lucas nos recebeu e foi super solicito conosco!
Experiência incrível! Este refúgio no Airbnb é verdadeiramente mágico, com cachoeiras serenas e uma floresta imersiva que oferece uma paz revigorante. Uma escapada perfeita para quem busca tranquilidade e conexão com a natureza. Recomendo!

We are located in the rural area of Paraty, on the Paraty-Cunha Road, 10 km from the roundabout which leads to the historic center of Paraty. In the surroundings are located some waterfalls widely visited by tourists, such as Toboggan, the Tarzan waterfall, and the trail of the Caminho do Ouro, old road that crosses the Atlantic forest, through where the gold coming from the state of Minas Gerais went to the port of Paraty. There are art galleries, quilombos, distillation stills and fine cuisine.
The House is about 35 km from the small town of Cunha, famous for its potters specialized in the traditional Japanese wood firing ceramics. That's well worth visiting. In the same direction of Cunha, about 12 km from my cabin, at 1840 meters (over 6,000 ft) above sea level, you will find Pedra da Macela, bordering the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The 360-degree panoramic views of the Cunha region will take your breath away … If the hike up doesn’t, that is... You can drive up the dirt road to the gate where you will leave your car, and then walk about 2 km (1.25 mi) up the paved road to the top. The spectacular views of the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other are well worth your effort. There is no infrastructure so bring water, sunscreen, maybe some snacks, and definitely your walking shoes.
From the Paraty roundabout, at a distance of 16 km you will get to the Patrimonio roundabout. From there you will get to Trindade Beach, one of the most beautiful in the area. It became famous for having been chosen by the hippie movement in the sixties. There are other beaches in the town of Paraty and several others further in the way to Ubatuba and on the way to Rio de Janeiro.
INSTRUCTIONS on HOW COME FROM SAO PAULO: In the waze app you must put GUARATINGUETÁ-CUNHA-RETORNO. On arriving to that EXIT, follow the instructions below: TAKE RIGHT, IN THE DIRECTION SAYING CUNHA. YOU WILL BE ENTERING the HIGHWAY 171, PAULO VIRGINIO. "TUDO DA ROÇA" IS A GREAT PLACE TO STOP. YOU HAVE TO WAIT ON THE RIGHT SIDE UNTIL YOU CAN DO THE CONVERSION TO THE LEFT. AT THE ENTRANCE TO "CUNHA, A CIDADE DA CERAMICA" YOU WILL FIND THE GAS STATION "BR", THE LAST IN THE STATE OF SÃO PAULO, WHERE GASOLINE IS CHEAPER. MOVE ON, IN THE DIRECTION OF PARATY. WHEN ARRIVING AT THE BORDER OF THE STATE OF SAO PAULO AND RIO DE JANEIRO THERE ARE SEVERAL BOARDS WITH THE SPONSORS OF THE ROAD. IT IS AN ECOLOGICAL ROAD, PAVED WITH CEMENT PAVERS. IMPORTANT! RESET THE ODOMETER! DRIVE in 1a or 2ND GEAR. IF YOU DON'T YOU MAY END UP LOSING THE BRAKE BEFORE ARRIVING... WHEN YOU REACH KM 11, 2 YOU WILL SEE A RED PLATE RED READING "NOSSA CASA" on YOUR LEFT. ON YOUR RIGHT HAND SIDE, YOU WILL SEE A LARGE ORANGE TRASH BIN. RIGHT NEXT TO IT, A RED PLATE READING "ALDEIA RIZOMA" INSIDE WHICH IS OUR CABIN.
FOR THOSE COMING FROM RIO DE JANEIRO: MARK ON WAZE "PARATY, RJ". UPON ARRIVING AT THE ROUNDABOUT WHICH LEADS TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE CITY, TAKE THE ROAD LEADING TO CUNHA. IMPORTANT TO RESET THE ODOMETER! At KM 10 YOU'LL SEE AN ORANGE TRASH Bin AND RIGHT NEXT TO IT THE RED PLATE SAYING ALDEIA RIZOMA, INSIDE WHICH IS THE CABIN!
