A few things to note about this apartment - it is managed by a third party company (interhome) based outside of Spain. I never spoke to or saw an Oliver. If you read the reviews, you will see that they are not all for the 1BR apartment located in Jardines Del Mar. The complex is lovely- lush and green with good pool. Great location. apartment is basic. Bathroom is recently renovated. Bedroom is neat and clean. Very old couch that I could not bring myself to sit on. There is no internet although the key holder was kind enough to source a mobile unit for me. Bring your kitchen supplies if you will need as there was only a container of sugar. There are supermarkets within walking distance though and very close to the beach and restaurants. Apartment is advertised as being in a quiet complex which is what I was looking for. I was woken up before 8am on the first day to intense construction noise that continued into the evening- 7pm. There was a gut renovation happening in the apartment above. I complained to the key holder who was not aware and told me to go speak with the neighbors about this myself. As a foreign female and complete stranger in the complex, I told him that I was not comfortable doing that so I let interhome know through Airbnb app but they were no help only relaying advice that was incorrect. They also took a long time to respond, only doing so after I went to Airbnb and Airbnb contacted them. At one point they said that construction had ended early for the day at 1pm and was finished for the duration of my stay. I was in the apartment at 5:15pm with drilling still going on and it continued for many days after. At another point they said it was just neighbors moving furniture. No one actually came to verify the situation. I ended up having to leave the apartment during the daytime because the noise made it unlivable. Weekends were peaceful. I fortunately had the recordings of the noise and would message the key holder to let him know the days that construction was still happening but there seemed to be nothing that he could do. Into the second week, interhome eventually offered to move me to another unit but with a handful of days remaining I declined because of the effort to pack up and move again with uncertainty of the conditions of the next place and the potential of another poor host response if I needed it. I would have moved if this solution were offered in the first week. If you rent, the construction would probably be complete by then and would not be an issue. Just anticipate that if something happens requiring a move or intervention, you may have a tough time getting help. Their policy also says no refunds. Be mindful of the following: 1) make sure that you are comfortable with their policy because it is extensive and stricter than the Airbnb policy. 2) Airbnb requires all communication with host through the app but because of this management structure, the keyholder has no access to the Airbnb app so you have to go offline through WhatsApp to speak with him. He is your only contact on the ground so make sure that if you complain to him, you also do it in the app to interhome so that you are covered from an Airbnb perspective. 3) I was just one person and the bed was perfect. Could fit 2 adults comfortably. They say the apartment sleeps 4. I would not recommend anyone putting a child or 2 to sleep on that sofa. It is very small and very used but decide for yourself.

Everything was nice and clean. The apartments is in perfect conditions except for the floor. It was a little bit ugly.

We stayed in this very beautiful and calm apartment, very close to the beach, a nice view to the garden. The communication with Michael, who took care of the apartment was immediate, he helped us out when we discovered that the coffeemaker was moldy and supplied as a new one. Mold seemed to be an issue: the kitchen, the dishwasher and the stroller where a bit moldy. We worked around that by cleaning the dishes by hand and never opening the kitchen cabinet and ending up not using the stroller. Otherwise the apartment is spacious, minimalist and cool, which comes in handy in hot summer. The view to the garden is beautiful, the garden well taken care of. Concierge and personal are really friendly, we always found a free parking spot in the fenced parking area of the house.
