Tucked away in the middle of a rural community in the peaceful and unspoilt Salentine countryside, the house is equipped for all seasons with an efficient air-conditioning and heating system. While it has many traditional features, it has all necessary modern facilities making it a real home from home.Besides its peaceful surroundings, the house is an ideal base for exploring the Salentine region, being just 2km from the villages melissano and taviano,10km from the historic city of Gallipoli The accommodation will appeal to those seeking a base for going out and about or just as a peaceful retreat. As well as having two bedrooms (one double and one with two single beds) a bathroom with shower and an ample kitchen there is also a large veranda and an outside kitchen (off the veranda.) There is plenty of room for a party of 4 or family of 4/5. The house has 2 bedrooms (one double and one with two single beds) a bathroom with shower. The well equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, an induction hob, coffee machine, kettle and toaster and a TV. There is also a washing machine. There is Wi-Fi in the house. Outside and around the house, there are several patio areas and on the main area, which is covered, there is a large table and chairs. Off the patio there is an outside kitchen, (an Italian favourite for outside living in the warmer months.) The house has a large fenced and walled garden with automatic gates (remote controlled) and a convenient parking area. There is plenty of information on the local area which is kept in the house for the benefit of the guests.

Maria Rita and Mario's place is wonderful. It's comfortable, in a great location for exploring Salento, and super quiet. Plus the garden is lovely for hanging out - you've even got a choice of hammocks. But far more amazing than that was having Maria and Mario as hosts- they are absolutely lovely. I know people always say how great the hosts are, but I've stayed in a lot of Airbnbs, and these guys are the best. They welcomed us to Italy with a kitchen full of amazing food, had brilliant recommendations for where to go, and hosted us for lunch in their place by the sea. But it was way more than that - they helped us arrange a mechanic when we had problems with our car (twice!) and they helped us navigate the healthcare system when our baby was ill. They were our guardian angels for our trip. Would stay with them again in a heartbeat. Oh, and it's worth noting they're really well set up for people with babies- cot, bottle warmer, playmat, steriliser, bucket swing in the garden. They had everything.
La maison 5 palmes est de très bon confort, idéale pour une famille avec 2 enfants ou un adolescent. Elle est située au milieu de la campagne, dans un environnement calme, et à équidistance de nombreux sites d’intérêt : belles plages, centre villes historiques bien préservés. Maria Rita et Mario sont adorables. En plus d’être des hôtes très accueillants, ils sont de très bon conseil pour découvrir la région et ses trésors gastronomiques. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable.
Un accueil comme si nous étions des membres de la famille ! Maria Rita et Mario nous ont fait partager l'amour de leur région à tous les niveaux de leur culture ! Ils sont pleins d'amour et d'humour ! Ils nous ont conseillé pour les visites les petits restos etc en sortant des sentiers battus classiques pour touristes. Le frigo était rempli ainsi que les placards et des cadeaux surprises nous n'avons jamais était accueilli de la sorte ! Ces deux personnes sont généreuses et pleines de bonté.La maison typique de la région est superbe très bien équipée au calme à la campagne avec un jacuzzi très agréable. La terrasse avait tout ce qu'il fallait pour se détendre à l'abri des regards. Nous conseillons fortement ce havre de paix et remercions chaleureusement nos hôtes en espérant y retourner et les revoir ! Merci merci merci !!!
We stayed at the villa for 2 months and we had the best experience we could wish for! Mario & Maria are the kindest hosts and they made sure our stay was perfect. When we arrived they had prepared some local vegetables and pasta so we didn't need to cook the first day. They as well planted some fresh and organic vegetables in the garden for us to use during our stay. The villa has everything you need and is spacious and clean. Extra plus, the jacuzzi, amazing to just relax at the end of the day! We highly recommend this place and will be back!
We had an amazing stay at Maria Rita and Mario’s place. It was not only about the house being great and having everything we could need, but also because of the great hospitality. They went out of their way to make our stay a lovely experience: food, wine and fruit in the fridge for our first night and first days and lots of recommendations about the area, booked a nice dinner for us to watch the sunset and more details that made our experience unforgettable.
