Lisa's house was absolutely lovely. It is convenient to Volcano as well as the national park entrance. It was extra cozy and had everything we needed (laundry, good kitchen set-up, etc). We even could have stayed in and made dinner if we had planned ahead. The food options are not great in the area around the park but we did really love the thai food truck! One thing to note, the bed is quite comfy but also very soft. This might be a concern for anyone who has back issues and needs a mattress with more support.

Close proximity to Volcano National Park. The area was quiet and private. Be prepared to wake with the sun as it’s a loft with lots of windows but no blinds or curtains of any kind. Also make sure you get groceries in either Kona or Hilo as there is nothing close by and the options for eating out aren’t great either. The only form of entertainment is a record player (which was pretty cool) but no games or TV for rainy days or evenings.

We had a great stay at Lisa’s! Everything was exactly as listed and super easy to use. The loft is clean and quiet and really gave us a relaxing weekend away! We would totally come and stay again!

What a beautiful gem, so close to volcano village and the national park. Perfect, minimalist design but all the commodities you would need and more (little touches like a record player, fireplace, and honestly the comfiest bed I think I’ve ever slept in). One other cool feature was the shower windows slats that open up and let a cool breeze in with your shower! We loved it!
