Fantastic property - if it’s available just book it !!

We spent the period over New Years at The Stables. The location is perfect for a quiet get away in beautiful surroundings, in accommodation that is first class. The house is quite spectacular and provides everything you would need for a comfortable get away. If anything, the photos on the web site do not show how grand the rooms re. And the basket of goodies left on the kitchen counter is a very welcome thing to greet you as you walk in the door. We didn’t need to contact the owner all that much at all but when we did he was very responsive. We hope to return in the future.

Stunning barn conversion in a beautiful valley right next to the priory. The barn is very well equipped and has extremely comfortable beds. Mark met us on arrival and showed us round which was really helpful. There was a lovely welcome hamper too, full of treats for our first evening and breakfast. Highly recommended

Outstanding property, stayed with family and friends plus two dogs and we all throughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful but the surrounding area is breathtaking! A fantastic base to explore the area. Mark the host is extremely helpful and we met quite a few members of staff from the property and the priory who we all lovely and gave great recommendations and background of the area. We all loved the blackboard hung in the kitchen full of ideas and recommendations which were very useful. A brilliant book full of leaflets and historic details of the property and surrounding area was an added bonus. Will book again. Thanks

Book the Stables and you won't be disappointed. We were 2 families of 4 adults / 4 kids and we all loved the house and grounds. Everything was immaculate and the beds were so comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the open plan kitchen area which was lovely and bright and had plenty of seating to chat to that nights cooks. The dining area was perfect for games and the wood burner had us all cosy in the evening. Mark couldn't have been more helpful, and thank goodness we took his advice to shop in the centre of Newcastle and not the Metro Centre! There are so many lovely places to visit just a short drive away, Alnwick in particular. And you have to visit the Running Fox in Longframlington for amazing cakes. Thanks for hosting us Mark, the Anderson's and Dingwall's had a brilliant stay.
