Domenico is a fantastic host! Very helpful and friendly. The apartment is clean, spacious and close to the train station. The city center is accessible in 20 minutes walk. I definitely recommend it for a few days' trip to Bari. You won't be dissapointed!

had a nice stay. there is a very good pizzeria in the same street as the apartment. definitely go there. to the centre it's a bit of a walk, like 20 minutes. there is a metro station 5 minutes by foot and then it's just 2 stopps to the central station. but to get to the historical centre it still is a 15 minutes walk then. other than that we had everything we need. the apartment is simple and clean.

Definitely highly recommended place for short travel to Bari, very conveniently placed on the outskirts of city center, so you can reach old town after 20 min. walk along typical Italian streets full of cafes, bakeries, clothes shops and other stuff. Only if you are not able to walk, I suggest something closer to city center, but for healthy person, there is no problem to cover that distance, and you can always change your route a bit not to get bored. Bari-Crispi metro/train station is 5 min. walking and you get reliable and quick connection to both airport and central train station. We found Domenico's flat to be in neighborhood far more nicer as some other parts of the town, like area around Central Station with homeless people and socially weak folks (which I would better avoid), so I guess it is also quite safe, and not extremely noisy in the night or during the day. You can also reach beaches north of the city, like Lido San Francesco, which we preferred comparing to the "fancy" beaches south of city center, like Pane e pomodoro (overcrowded) or Torre Quetta (stormy and rocky). We used quite a lot local electric scooters to move around, it was not cheap but more enjoyable than wait at the bus stop for correct bus to your destination. Btw. - just round the corner, on Via Brigata Regina, you find almost all you need to keep you well fed and happy - bakeries, DOK supermarket, cafes, cake shops... Definitely try local pugliese cuisine, the more simple it goes the more tasty it is! Domenico is always ready to help, flat was clean like from catalogue, basic equipment was there, bathroom was modern and towels were provided, bed was typically soft as common in Italy, and internet was quick and without any disruptions. We missed a balcony for cup of morning coffee, but this way you are forced to go out and have it with locals at some the nearby cafeterias! There is also famous Pizza restaurant just under the widows of Domenico's flat - if you catch them open, worth of trying for sure!
