We loved celebrating Christmas in this amazing place! We were welcomed by freshly cut greens and Christmas decorations. Anything we could imagine we needed was here. It was very hard to leave.

Apfel House is a wonderful place to stay for peace and quiet in a beautiful surrounding. House is well equipped with everything you might need. Host was so responsive and always there to help out. Due to issues beyond her control she was more than willing to work with us to find easy and amicable solutions. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Orcas Island.

Our stay at Apfel Haus was absolutely amazing. Beautiful home that was very well stocked for our needs (extended family of six). Quiet and peaceful location that reflected the wonderful nature of our hosts! And the access to their friendly animals and tasty garden were bonuses that my daughters will remember for a lifetime.

Beautiful house, nestled in the woods, complete with goats and chickens, and great hosts! This was my first time to Orcas and I was traveling with my 3 year old, my husband, mother, and in-laws. The island is beautiful with towering trees and lush landscapes everywhere you look. Jennifer and Chris are kind and responsive. The house is comfortable and cozy and fully stocked. It’s a wonderful place to relax and commune with nature!

We have stayed at dozens of Airbnbs all over the world, who knew our favorite would end up being so close to home! The house is perfect, Jennifer is awesome, we wished we could have stayed longer. Our almost 2 year old also had a blast. The house, views and property are better in person than in the photos. We enjoyed the fresh eggs, veggies and herbs, the kitchen is very well stocked and we cooked some delish meals . We highly reccomsbd Jennifer’s place and can’t wait to return!
