We loved our stay at this quaint little house by the ocean. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed combing the rocky beach on low tide for sea glass and crabs. The space is ideal for a family of four and we slept well with the sea breeze blowing in our windows. Sara was very attentive to any issues that arose and quick to communicate and solve problems. We will be back!

Everything was great. Sara's descriptions were so accurate it made the experience comfortable. Her love of the place is so obvious in the well designed yet simple decor.and all the little touches.

Incredibly beautiful spot. The home was charming and very comfortable. The view of the bay was breathtaking and it was so peaceful sitting and watching the fishing boats come and go. There was also quite a bit of wildlife to watch. Including dolphins which was an amazing surprise. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Cute and cozy cottage with spectacular views of the Digby Gut, porpoises, seals, and Ferry. The cottage was very clean and spacious for my family of four (2 adults, 2 kids), with 3 comfortable double beds. The 4th room was set up as a dressing room which enabled us to keep things tidied and in one place. The kitchen is lacking counter space but was well stocked with necessities (coffee, tea, sugar, cereal, pancake mix, condiments, butter, etc.) Sara has done a nice job adding a lot of decorative touches that add to the old cottage feel. We were very pleased with the wifi service as I had to work a bit, but was also appreciated by my kids who like to YouTube after a busy day:). Fire pit was great (lots of firewood in the shed) and the property has a pathway down to the shore, beach-combing was enjoyed by all! Only a 5 minute walk to the wharf to do some fishing. Note that it’s a 20 minute commute into town every time you want to do something, however, we didn’t mind as we were mostly visiting family in the area. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and will book again!

Wow! What a great place. Sara was terrific, from her quick responses to my initial inquiries, to her many helpful hints on what to do in the area, to the wonderful house she has stocked with every little necessity and so many nice personal touches. My wife and I spent a week at Sara's place, hated to leave, and will definitely be back. Sara;s place sits in an amazing location. We spent endless hours sitting in the backyard, watching the porpoises, seals, and sea birds eat and play in the currents that come together in the Digby Cut directly behind Sara's place. Our days were paced by the rhythm of Sara's neighbor as he went about his business harvesting and drying Dulse (seaweed), the St. John's ferry as it came and went twice a day across the Cut in Digby, and the dramatic shifts in the tides. We ate almost exclusively local grown and caught vegetables, fruits, berries, fish, and scallops that we picked up at the farmer's market in Anapolis Royale and, even more often, from the little tables that people put out at the ends of their driveways all along the Granville road leading to Sara's place. It was all delicious. We also loved the Nova Scotian wines that we picked up at the local government run liquor store. Who knew Nova Scotia had so many great wineries! And Sara had everything in her kitchen that we needed to pull it all together. The house itself is beautifully decorated and meticulously clean, with comfortable furniture and beds. It is as quaint as the photos suggests, if not more. Beware, there is no wifi (at least from what we could gather). We were fine with that and happily escaped from the outside world for a week. And what a place to escape to! Thank you Sara for everything.
