Dorothy is super nice, responsive and helpful. The house is big and comfortable. The location not good. Far away and difficult to find, even for the taxis. Many mosquitoes and although “wakable” to the beach, it is a very rough beach. Be ready to pay US$140 in taxi from airport. They offered breakfast and snacks but never mentioned they will charge us. For breakfast foods and soft drinks we got a bill of US$180. To go anywhere, even Speightown and other nearby attractions you need transportation because the neighborhood is “ify” and there is no signs nor sidewalks. I used to live in Barbados and this place is not representative of Barbados tourism!

We cannot let this vacation pass without letting anyone and everyone we talk to know about how awesome our stay at the Sea Symphony was. We were 12 couples, and each of us had our own rooms and private full bathroom. The Villa is very large, with many places to hang out so we never felt on top of each other. We enjoyed the beach just 100 feet down a walkway to white sand and pristine waters. We also walked south down the coastline and by nearby towns to other beautiful natural beaches. Never did we feel unsafe. Lindry (our chef) and Beatrice (our housekeeper) were absolutely amazing. Anything we needed they attended to us. Impromptu meal planning. Fresh cut flowers every day. The Villa was kept clean and tidy and the food was amazing. As much as the company made the trip, Lindry and Beatrice became a part of the memories. Only thing to consider is distance. The Villa is approximately 15 mins from Holetown and 25 mins from Bridgetown. Taxis and transportation is costly in Barbados so plan ahead for the extra expense. Would we do it again?! Absolutely! No doubt. Amazing time! Amazing Villa! Amazing people!

Dorothy is an excellent host! She came to welcome us when we arrived and was always very responsive (eg, when we faced issues with WiFi). We had a memorable time and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone! Couple notes to future travelers, please reach out in advance to reserve the “included” car. Because this property is located a bit far away from where all the action is, I recommend either renting a car separately or letting Dorothy know in advance that you will need the car she has onsite.

I traveled with a large group and I found this place to be perfect for our private parties. We were picked up from airport, and welcomed with a cold beverage light snacks and a warm cloth. Everything was depicted well in the host photos. This was a true traditional Bajan vacation home.My guest loved to use the pool and the beach was a short distance away. Having a chef available was great.The host answered all of our questions immediately and had tips for activities we could do. Activities such as tourist attractions or excursions were not local but the host gave us information on transportation and arranged for travel which was fine.I have no complaints and I will be returning.

We stayed at this property for two weeks over Christmas and New Year 2017-18 First the good things: The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas when we arrived. The staff at the house are absolutely wonderful and could not do enough for us. Kay our cook produced wonderful meals and was very responsive to our requests. Beatrice and Myrna kept everything spotlessly clean and were very kind and friendly. The house itself is lovely inside and perfect for a large group. The gazebo is wonderful for outside meals. All the bedrooms are very comfortable with en suite bathrooms. There is a lovely through breeze on the upper floor. We appreciated having a nice pool at the house especially in view of the comments below. A couple of small points: the indoor table upstairs only seats 6 so we could not all eat there together; the master bedroom balcony looks out over a rubbish dump on a vacant lot next door. The following greatly disappointed us: The owners of the house describe the property as: “6 bedrooms, view, beach, WiFi, pool, AC, car, transfer”. Anyone looking at this house’s entry on the Airbnb website would, as we did, believe that this is a beach house and that the beach photo provided by the owners is of the “beach” promised in the headline description of the property and shows “the calm, clear water…just a few steps away”, promised as one of the features of the property. In fact, the only “beach” accessible from the house, accessed down a public road, is very small and can only be used at low tide, as the owners informed us when we arrived at the property. It is not the beach shown in the photo on the Airbnb website. The tiny beach “just a few steps away” from the property is only suitable for very strong swimmers at low tide only. Anyone renting this property should be aware of this. For most sea swimming and to actually spend time at the beach you have to drive to beaches further south on the west coast. Please be aware that the beach actually accessible from the property is not a beach where young children could play or swim safely.
