Alain was a wonderful and very responsive host. The view of the lake right across the street was gorgeous. We rented this property as a home base for skiing at Mont Sainte Marie which is a 6 min drive away, so the location was perfect for us. The two fold out couches were very uncomfortable and one was broken, so I would say that it only really sleeps 4. The cottage is connected in some way to the unit next door and you can hear the people there as if they are in the cottage with you. The traffic noise can be quite loud as well, but is infrequent

This is a truly beautiful place in a beautiful area. The house was clean, had lots of room and had an amazing deck and cozy place to have a campfire at the end of the night. The lake access was also incredible and my family and I loved the fishing on Lac Sainte Marie. Alain provides his guests with access to canoes and kayaks and even let us use his boat!!! He is an incredible host and it's a wonderful place for a getaway, I would highly recommend!!!

Alain was an amazing host. He was right there for every request/ question/ need we had. Expect a "cottage" amount of bugs. The water is great, and is easily walkable. The only downside for us was the road in front of the cottage. Cars and trucks regularly drive by very fast. Those with young children should be aware that you need to cross the road to get to the water and the place to sit is on the dock with the kids is on the dock as there is very little shore space. If you leave the windows open you will hear the cars in the apartment. The furniture is dated but very functional. There is a brand new washroom and floor which was great for the visit. All in all amazing value and well worth the trip. The view is amazing, the lake is amazing and the people in the little town were just wonderful. Alain is by far the best host I have had by a long shot!
