We had a very nice holidays in this apartment! I think I wasn't very attentive when I read the description of the house, so I was very surprised to see how big it is! There is enough space for 2 families, the house has 9 beds and a spacious living room. The house is located in a very picturesque place! The first line by the ocean! But at the same time, the trees and shrubs are planted in such a way that rare passers-by on the beach will not bother you. I would also like to mention the work of the staff who are attached to these apartments. Wonderful people, kind, friendly, ready to help. The chef is amazing! he cooks better than many restaurants in Kenya. We have already told our friends about this place and they have already booked dates. Now I want to come back here with our parents! Thanks for the great holidays!

Wimbi reef was quite amazing overall! The location/place is very special, the staff were kind and amenable, the food was amazing, and James was a great host. There was however, some miscommunication in the beginning with the food and the lack of refrigeration and hot water. James had mentioned that there were some issues but when I spoke with Hamisi, the stand-in cook, he said all was well. I ended up riding all the way to Diani with Hamisi in a tuk tuk (which was unplanned and quite an experience by itself) and the fridge was still not working when we returned. We had multiple cartons of milk go bad, but apparently nothing else (hopefully!). As others have mentioned, we did notice the insects and lack of AC, but they were both minor things that we were able to overcome compared to how amazing the place was. We do plan to return at some point!

Wimbi Reef is a beautiful property with a pool and beach access. We were only there for two days and unfortunately could not take advantage of everything. The food from Ruwa tasted very good. The only criticism is that the mattresses were very thin and saggy.

If you are looking for a tranquil and beautiful place, James house is a good option. The best thing about the place is the pool, the beach and the extremely friendly staff - the house itself is a bit rundown, but works okay
