#9 & #14 are "Connecting" Private NON SMOKING Rooms: Sleeps 5 (#9 has 2 Sngl Beds / #14 has a Full-Size Bed with Sngl Bed, ONLY HOT WATER in SHOWERS. NO KITCHEN=NO Silverware/Dishware. Has WiFi, AC, Cable TV, Mini Fridge, Body Soap & Shampoo, Clean Linen & Towels. BBQ Area has 2 gas burners, sink, electric outlets, picnic tables. TINY POOL 9'x14' and hummingbird on site! NO ENGLISH, STAFF USES TRANSLATERS!!!! IMPORTANT PLEASE READ under Guest Resources/House Manual/ "DEAR GUEST"... CABIN #9 & #14, is a connected 2 unit, located on the first floor, in the third building of the property, next to BBQ area and picnic tables. Having 2 twin beds in #9 and Full-Size bed with Twin Bed in #14, for larger families, offering Hot water only in SHOWERS. (No Kitchenette, so there's no silverware or dishware but if needing any you can ask at the Office to borrow from our personal supply FREE of charge, there's also NO OTHER FURNITURE in the room). Please note this unit has a small table, small bars for hanging clothes, NO chairs or other furniture available but being connected by a middle door each side has its own TV, mini-fridge, and bathroom. What makes our place unique is the peaceful atmosphere unless we have the fiestas held just across the street, which most look forward to anyways... The main attraction on our property is the beautiful hummingbirds visiting our feeders located on the bottom floor on by our first building where you can go and hand-feed them by request! NOTE: we're NOT beachfront property and appreciate your understanding due to third-world issues and remote areas like we're in, Wi-Fi service is not "always" reliable because of intermittent electrical surges and instability of provider service that's out of our control. EARPLUGS: if you're a light sleeper we suggest to bring them, you never know when the Fiestas are across the street. We also have truckers coming in the weekdays, they're our lifeline to Paquera, as they bring in merchandise or services needed to the little town but they're gone early morning which may wake you but gone the rest of the day or wake you when coming in at night. Usually, it's very peaceful and you can confirm that with previous guests' comments but a few have commented, that it's noisy and because we're a low-end Motel, soundproof construction was not factored in, please be advised to bring your earplugs just in case =)

It does match the description of the listing. Place was clean but the bed and sheets could use a little love. In both showers we didnt have hot water even after let it run for a while and the ac made a lot of noise during the night With lower standards it is definitely a place that most can enjoy and really appreciate. If we compare with all the places with went in Costa Rica, I can’t say it is cheap but it isn’t overpriced. I do give this place good stars because it matches the description and even if it is a bit pricey in my opinion (it felt like every places was the same quality/price). It is either you pay a lot more to get a lot more or you pay this price and get this kind of places. I do recommend for short stay.

Great value! Great location! Great access to bioluminescence kayaking! Clean and friendly! Frank was very responsive and accommodating, and also helped us coordinate a driver to take us places. Walking distance to terrific pizza and precious cafe. Had everything we needed and wanted! Would definitely stay here again.
El lugar se observa agradable y cumple con la descripción;sin embargo, en cuanto a limpieza la experiencia fue terrible, al levantar las sábanas las camas tenían cabello humano y arena, que claramente no era de nosotros. Además, envían mensajes luego de la estadía para "recordar" calificarlos con 5 estrellas, lo cual para mi es incómodo, si el lugar cumple con todo no debería de preocuparse por enviar esos mensajes ni de que la encargada de recibirnos nos mencione que tienen varias quejas respecto a manchas o suciedad en las camas. Si tienen esas quejas es porque son reales, ya que tengo evidencia fotográfica.

We are in the small town of Paquera of about 2500 people where everybody is friendly and helpful, most use bikes and motorcycles as their main transportation. Not being over populated, nature abounds and greets you right outside your door step. There's only one Gas Station, one Bank and 2 Supermarkets.
By feet will get you there and to the Bus Stop across the street or we can always call you a Taxi... We're in walking distance to the downtown area of Paquera, where you'll find markets for your main staples and other businesses (Bank, ATM, Gas Station, Clinic, Pharmacy, Dentist, Sodas/Ice Cream Parlor, Barber/Hairdresser, Police Station and Fire Department). Beaches are Free Access but Curu Reserve, Bahia Rica Tours and/or other activities have additional fees, you can check them out on their websites.
TIP: we suggest 4x4 with GPS for this area.

My wife and I enjoy fishing on our time off or making time for fishing, I found that niche in Costa Rica! We felt Paquera Costa Rica, was a peaceful place to relax and made it our second home. We wanted to share this hidden gem with others offering the "basics" like AC and Hot Water, that when visiting here we couldn't find without having to pay more than we wanted to... I believe you don't have to break the bank when traveling and staying at Mapi's Cabins, gives you that possibility, offering only the "basics", we pass on the savings to you, so you can afford to go out exploring, fishing, zip lining etc. Spending time with family and making memories is what life's about, it's no wonder it's "Pura Vida" in Costa Rica!
